Heathcliff is too heavy for the scale.
>>77861168
Gallagher needs to work on his perspective, the wall is looking queer, to say the least.
Otherwise this is one of his better comics, easily in the top 100 for this year.
Heathcliff is the Yog Sogoth of comic strips.
Aren't 'Talking Scale' jokes pretty much ripped straight from Garfield?
>>77863105
As a matter of fact, they are.
In a bizarre twist, it turns out Gallagher isn't a very creative person.
>>77863124
Should he go back to smashing watermelons?
>>77861168
Would be a tad bit funnier without the text at the bottom.
>>77863145
He's the Carrot Top to Jim Davis's Gallagher.
>>77863179
So steroids are in his near future? Yikes.
>>77863105
Yeah but Heathcliff was created before Garfield.
>>77863200
Garfield ripped off the original Heathcliff, but Gallagher's Heathcliff rips of Garfield.
It's like The Thief and the Cobbler.
my personal favorite
>>77863237
this actually made me laugh how little sense it makes.
all the garbage ape comics make me laugh too hard to be honest

I can't even believe this one is real
>>77863524
It's an edit.
>>77863539
>>77863524
its actually the legitimate strip
gallagher goes deep sometimes
>>77863524
it's a shoop, original was him trying to make a snow angel.
>>77863557
Can someone explain this one to me?
I understand all the others except this one
>>77863549
I reverse searched it and it doesn't exist.
>>77863575
Predatory birds stealing humanoid cats is so common that the coach just goes on to the next pitcher.
>>77863394
I don't know why, but I accidentally read this as "It's the season" and cracked up laughing. For some reason that tiny change just made it hysterical
>>77863399
All that build-up and you couldn't be bothered to put a joke at the end? For shame, Gallagher.I still laughed
>>77863671
It's called an antijoke, and Gallagher is an inadvertent master of it.
>>77863707

>>77863729
Wow
Usually most Heathcliff comics are so surreally unfunny they become funny, but this pushes it so far it just leaves me oddly vacant.
>>77863669
>be Dunston
>check in
>>77863754
It really does tread a fine line.
>>77863798
You could print that line on bumper stickers or decorative postcards, pawn them off and make bank.
>>77863835
What the shit
Heathcliff isn't going to whack you off, manNot in public at least

Cow maintainence. Needs cow tools for that.
>>77864006
>Illegals
>>77863000
the scale is actually changing the spacial world around it to accommodate it's announcement of Heathcliff's immeasurable weight.
>>77864205
The cow wasn't producing milk so it was brought to the local mechanic which instead of fixing cars in the city is taxed instead with being a makeshift vet do to the lack of solid automotive work in the country. This particular case seems to be beyond his abilities and so Healthcliff, a master of all things milk, has been called in to give his professional opinion on the matter.
>>77863539
It's pretty telling of the quality of Heathcliff when the edits and the original are indistinguishable from each other though.
>>77864088
I think maybe he's making an analogy of typical band breakups? How they first sit nice up on a wall, then fall off (in popularity), then break up (into pieces), and nobody can put them back together again???
I've got no clue.
>>77863373
It's his piss. There's no way it isn't.
>>77863361
Apeforce.
>>77863336
>>77863729
That's sort of clever.
>>77863505
L-lewd!
>>77865968
He's at the forefront of the humpty dumpty craze.
>>77863671
The beauty of the sunday strips, is that none of the panels before the last one matter. The last one is always just a regular heathcliff strip, but with a word bubble instead of the caption at the bottom. Everything up to that point is always just unnecessary filler/build-up that doesn't actually contribute anything to the joke other than showing the characters getting in place for it.
>>77866071
Ayyyy lmao
>>77863465
Is this real? I laughed out loud.
>>77863524
Would actually be better if that was the original.
>>77863671
I don't know in what world you live but "The Garbage Ape" is a completely satisfying punchline.
