There's
-Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer
-Santa Claus is Comin' to Town
-The Little Drummer Boy
-Frosty the Snowman
-A Year Without a Santa Claus
-Rudolph's Shiny New Year
-The Story of the First Snow
-Rudolph and Frosty's Christmas in July
-Nestor the Long-eared Christmas Donkey
-The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus

And a few other holidays such as
-Here Comes Peter Cottontail
and a very much more decidedly adult version of their stop-motion movies, though Halloween this time around, called "Mad Monster Party" (pic related)

And they also did several of the animated Hobbit cartoons
And this one called "That Girl in Wonderland"

(If you like Year Without a Santa Claus, and the Miser brothers, DO NOT check out A Miser Brothers' Christmas holy FUCK)

Mickey Rooney and George Irving reprised their parts as Santa Claus and Heat Miser tho

That's because the rights to Fellowship and Two Towers were held by Ralph Bakshi at the time, which he used to make his animated LOTR (which gets about halfway through Two Towers before abruptly ending with a declaration that evil was vanquished forever after Helm's Deep, with Frodo's journey ending right as he and Sam find Gollum and remaining completely unresolved). Rankin Bass was able to get the rights to Return of the King and sort of capitalized on the fact that Bakshi's version only showed half the story, therefore they went and provided a conclusion to the story, even if their version is completely unconnected to Bakshi's.
>>
I love how Mrs. Claus acts in this special.

Everyone is shivering in the cold, freaking out about meeting this powerful entity, and Mrs. Claus just goes:

"Here he comes, the big ham."

I'm just gonna summarize the whole story because of how much I love it.

Life and Adventures of Santa Claus was based on Wizard of Oz author L Frank Baum's origin story for Santa Claus, which is a high fantasy tale about how Santa Claus was an orphaned child raised by a lioness and the fair folk of the mystical forest of Burzee. After Ak, the Master Woodsman of the world takes him on a journey around the world to learn about his human heritage and discovers how shit human society is, he dedicates his life to helping children, eventually getting into toymaking to bring joy into their lives.

This pisses off the Awgwas, a group of rock demons that sustain themselves on human misery. After several attempts on Nick's life, sabotaging his toy-making, and stealing his entire stock, Ak and the fairies decide they've had enough of their shit and this massive battle between them and the Awgwas and their various evil allies ensues. Of course neither Rankin Bass or that studio that did a 2D version of the story in 2000 had the budget to get anywhere close to the scale of the armies that L Frank Baum briefly described in the book. Like Peter Jackson would jizz in his pants if he read that shit

Santa's free to do his deliveries, though the magical beings that watch over the reindeer team insist on just doing it one night a year. He eventually becomes regarded as a saint by the people and when he's on his deathbed, Ak convinces a council of his immortal peers to grant Santa immortality.

I reeeaaallly wish Grant Morrison's Klaus book was taking more cues from this story then "Santa Claus is Coming to Town"

For what it was, I certainly enjoyed it. Sure it was a fucking mess but it was nice seeing them again. The remodels added a bit more character to them. Though the plot was a bit shitbrained. I just don't think of it as canon for the brothers.

ABC Family plays those too
rudolph and frosty got to a circus
and the santa clause one is really weird. you probably remember this fairy.
honestly, i like SCiCtT better as an origin story.

the both play AFTER christmas, though.
>>
>>77836860
>Rudolph and Frosty sounds super fucking lame
It's actually one of the best ones. It actually ties together to plots and lore of several of the other movies in with its main villain and makes the whole series of movies feel more epic.

It really surprised me when I first saw it.
>>
Snow Miser's song is infinitely better than Heat's because Heat got lazy and just decided to rhyme 'degrees' with itself.
>>
>>77841296
It would explain why Mother Nature was so eager to have them leave Santa alone, and why Snow Miser was nicer receptive to Mrs. Claus. Friend of the family and all that.
