Well that and how the work is actually produced when it is done in a native language. Most of the time they do the voice acting first then animate after to match it. That's how characters like Robin Williams Genie where so memorable. However when you try to dub a work it becomes an issue because there is little room for experimentation or creative in the lines.
Also most dubbing sessions are separate from each other so you are essentially trying to gauge a conversation via intuition rather than the feedback from the other voice actors.
The reverse can be said for Japanese voice actors as well.

I made a full team just last thread, in fact, and kept in mind who could counter them.
Like Ao Ookami. Wolf Faunus with an Electricity Semblance and a broadsword that also doubles as a Plasma cannon. He can generate fucktons of electricity, which is primarily fed into his plasma cannon's plasma chamber to help supercharge and heat up the oxygen in the chamber to MAKE the plasma that it fires, but generating too much electricity at once, or generating a large amount over a long period can exhaust him. Not only that, but he has a hard counter in Nora Valkyrie, who can render his GOD OF THUNDER shenanigans moot... unless there's only so much that her body can take in then I don't fucking know. We were just introduced to her Semblance so we have no idea what her capabilities are regarding it outside of "I can absorb electricity so I can fuck your shit up even worse than before".

If you've ever read Naruto then you'll fucking know what "too many rules" means.
If you can fill a book with all the rules for your system, that means the system you created has too many holes in it that needed to be plugged through worldbuilding that nobody will remember.
You need to have a clear, set in stone set of rules. Your audience needs to be able to easily explain those rules, and to be able to keep them in the back of their heads while reading a story.
When you've got a huge fucking list, that's not possible.
On a side note, I often see people say that others have ADHD if the story is just a clusterfuck, if the system is so bad that you need hundreds of rules, and especially if a story has the pacing of a dead snail.
It's just an easy way of dismissing everything someone's said. The fact that you use it shows a lot about you.+

Look through some pages on the naruto wiki, like the chakra page. You'll see countless rules that are supposed to explain what it does, but it only makes it less clear, and eventually the fucking writer wasn't even able to navigate it anymore.
Also, we were talking about rules in a system, and stuff like plot armor is not a part of that.
When you shift the conversation to another subject when your opponent just made a point, you typically don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

No, the writer never cared. EVER. More than half the shit he said about anything was disregarded whenever the fuck he felt like it because he couldn't write for shit. This isn't example of a system of rules failing, this is an example of a shit manga with shit writing and a lazy author. He laid down groundwork and then decided "Nah, none of this matters, I will never use this again" and it shows.
