I feel that Jane was never meant to exist. The story was building Kenny vs Luke from the moment they met right up till his death, which just sorta happened.
Choosing between Kenny and Luke would have been harder, as to me the only difference between Kenny and Jane was that although they were both psychotic, Kenny was less likely to abandon me to save himself. I'd also only known Jane for like 2 and a bit episodes.
