it puts the reality of the word waifu into question. OP here, i just like the character courtney, claimed her as my waifu and posted a bunch of others that i think are cool. I occasionally get art commissioned but thats it, no big whoop.
Then theres the people who take the word to heart. They in a way treat them as real people and in some cases worship. And i'm not ragging on them, people do what people want. But the word "waifu" has a less/more devoted setting depending on the person.
