so it seems Jeph is comming back to his old, wicked sense of humour, curious what his tumblr audience will think about that
>>
This is highly offensive to topknot wearers and auto-fellaters. Please delete and keep /co/ safe please.
>>
This is kinda funny.

I didn't laugh, but I get it.
>>
As a bald person I fing the strip highly problematic. Not everyone has hair privilege and jeph should really respect those boundaries. Now I'll have to think about my hair not covering my eyes while I suck my dick. Thanks a lot shitlord.

Coffee of Doom is never portrayed as being particularly busy.

There are four known workers at this time to my knowledge: Hannelore, Blonde, Brunette, and Dora.

Why on earth

1. Does there need to be three workers managing the seemingly empty shop at one time

2. Would Dora have to put in "more hours to the point where we had to beg her to take a day off" even though she lost Faye as a manager or whatever the fuck she was? It's not hard to run a coffee shop that isn't packed. Even if you are a regular barista. The owner/manager doesn't always need to be there.

It makes no sense.
>>
>>77744737
dora, hanners, dale, penelope, cosette,
>>
>>77744737

It's apparently busy at very specific times, usually when we aren't looking.

Why does the generation that rejects labels and encourages openness and expression feel the need to identify themselves first by their label, then how something someone else is doing offends them because of it?
>>
>>77742962
If Robo-gina is a thing then what are the odds that Claire has one installed?
>>
>>77746817
Low. He has to suffer the falls and experiences of the tranny readers and taking advantage of the advanced technology available in the established world would be "problematic" for the delicate readers.
>>
>>77746563

Self-awareness is not a very common character trait.
>>
>>77742962
Wouldn't another robot's exterior serve as a Faraday cage and prevent damaging electrical currents that could interfere with operation?
>>
>>77747069
But then there wouldn't be a "joke".
>>
>>77747078
Then come up with a better joke?
>>
>>77747126
You don't get how this works do you?
>>
>>77739751
What the hell does 'wicked' even mean when applied to humor?
>>
>>77747137
No, I've only seen QC from threads on /co/.

I mean, if you want to have complex artificial intelligence in your story, and even have them integrated into society, why would you fail to include a safety protocol that even outdated technology has? For electricity going along the blue robot's external shell to cause her to sperg out, her servos and possibly processor (since she started speaking gibberish) would have to lack any sort of electrical insulation from her chassis. Humans didn't evolve with much electrical insulation in mind because of that whole water thing, but you'd think an
AI construct (or the manufacturers) would know better than to risk a very expensive and sophisticated (and possibly sentient!) machine breaking from some basic electrical interference.

I mean I could use a stungun on my pc case right now and not break the processor; electrical components have insulation buffers!
>>
>>77744737
>1. Does there need to be three workers managing the seemingly empty shop at one time

I imagine it's because someone is there to take the orders/run the counter/handle general cleanliness of that area
Another is needed to handle the stuff in the back/unload trucks/clean equipment
and the third is the manager doing the administrative work, paper work, and keeping track of stock and supplies.
>>
>>77747194
Well, we have two options: MST3K Mantra...

Or bullshit up some comic book science explanation for what the devil is going on. In an effort to keep the conversation going... I'll suggest that there is no such thing as a perfect insulator, and enough electricity can overcome any obstacle. Does this apply to Faraday cages? No idea. But, the headcanon that pink-haired robo-girl is actually in possession of military grade weapons amuses me. (And why else would she have lightning eyes?)
>>
>>77747265
That's even more concerning. Faraday cages can protect you from lightning strikes, and even if she's just using some other sort of insulation, the pink-haired one having military grade weaponry seems very watchlist material.

So is the pink-haired robot just some military experiment where there's a man in some office somewhere with her killswitch on his desk and a monitor streaming her vision?
>>
>>77746563

>So is the pink-haired robot just some military experiment where there's a man in some office somewhere with her killswitch on his desk and a monitor streaming her vision?

I like this theory. I say we make it /co/'s version of canon.
>>
>>77747189
we in the godless north, especially in MA, use it as a modifier or an adjective like dirty hippy Californians use 'hella'
>>
>>77747381
Ahh. So basically it's just another word taking the place of 'good' or 'awesome' or 'very'?
>>
>>77747364
Okay I guess. That's not what her actual story is?
>>
>>77747616
I have no idea. I stopped reading QC around Hannelore's introduction (I think?) and the occasional comic that pops up on /co/.
Is it WORTH trying to restart?
>>
>>77747638
No, not even close. You won't feel nostalgic re-reading. You'll wonder what the fuck were you thinking when you ever liked this stupid thing.
>>
>>77747616
She used to be a tiny SonyBot to complete trifecta with Pintsize(PC) and Hanners'(Apple). She eventually had her own 'plot' where she wanted a different chasis so she can help Marigold out since she's practically incapable of taking care of herself. Marigold got her a brand new expensive chasis and she got a job to help pay off the money/assist Marigold's daily life.

Nothing spectacular.

...I think Pintsize was actually a military grade robot or some shit.
>>
>>77747403
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/wicked

I'd say in this context either 2b or 4.
>>
>>77747715
Aww, no gentoobot, haha.

Also wait, Sony isn't really part of the computing trifecta. Gaming, yes, but then Apple isn't part of the gaming trifecta.

Wouldn't it be PC/Apple/Linux?
Or Sony/PC(Microsoft)/Nintendo?

And what type of society is this where working some bottom-rung job allows you to afford a specced out artificial body? How common are these robots? Do they compose a major voting bloc? Can robots run for political office? Do they face societal ostracism from the age old "evil machines" tropes that have been in society for ages? Is it hard to break into politics as a robot? Do people not trust you? Is there a board on 4chan that talks about how the /g/ews did this whenever something bad happens and robots or by extension any sort of machinery is involved?
>>
>>77747791
>And what type of society is this where working some bottom-rung job allows you to afford a specced out artificial body?
A poorly written
>How common are these robots?
It seems like that not everybody has one but they aren't uncommon
>Do they compose a major voting bloc?
If we don't know, do you really think Haques does?
>Can robots run for political office?
Making an assumption considering they had to have a robo-civil rights movement off screen, I'm gonna say no.
>Do they face societal ostracism from the age old "evil machines" tropes that have been in society for ages?
Yes blue bot tried getting a job and they turned her down because the boss doesn't hire 'AIs' despite the fact having a employee who doesn't require sleep and most necessities would be better to have.
>Is it hard to break into politics as a robot? Do people not trust you?
See previous two answers
>Is there a board on 4chan that talks about how the /g/ews did this whenever something bad happens and robots or by extension any sort of machinery is involved?

The singularity happened. The machines keep humans happy with overpaid meaningless jobs like brewing coffee while the machines take care of the real production.

Robots rule the world and humans don't actually need to work anymore in this setting. It seems entirely possible that the Skynet just opened millions of coffee shops around the globe and gives them money to hire workers in order to keep all humans employed and occupied.

We don't see things during the rushhours much since thingie hooked up with the huge manatee/left.

IF peak hour traffic is high enough the revenue of the shop can be quite solid despite lack of non-peak customers.

Isn't it kind of insulting that Claire is just a female who apparently used to be a male?
Like, there's nothing at all to represent any sort of apparent transition.
Nobody cares at all either, nobody not even a random passerby (although why would they know that a girl is actually a boy) gives a fuck.
It's kind of demeaning to actual transsexuals if you think about it.
