I'm an old-time Iron Man fan, and the way he's being treated right now literally triggers me. I mean, even if they toned him down for the movies, AT LEAST use some logic. Getting BTFO by Steve and Bucky, where only Cap's shield is strong enough to pierce his armor? Come on!
>Doesn't use repulsors
>Doesn't use missiles
>Stupid-ass PTSD instead of Alcoholism
>Gets knocked around by punches when he can withstand gunfire

To back this up, I'm gonna post the capabilities of Tony's suit in Iron Man 2.
>>
You're cute.

General
>Designation: Mk. VII Rapid Response Combat Propulsion Suit
>Height: 6 feet
>Weight Unoccupied: Approximately 250 pounds
>Designer: Tony Stark
>Manufacturer: Assembled via privately owned Stark Industries CISCO automated manufacturing system
Helmet Systems
>Pressurized helmet allows for high altitude hypersonic flight and operation underwater
>Breath filters protect against pathogens and CBRN threats
>Retractable faceplate allows the wearer to eat and drink without removing helmet
>Individually calibrated high definition exterior microphones replicate human hearing, and can adaptively reduce or amplify incoming sounds to protect or enhance the wearer’s hearing as needed
>Cybernetic interface allows the wearer to control all armor systems quickly and seamlessly by thought. This interface can be calibrated to respond only to certain individuals
>Adjustable voice projector can amplify or modulate the wearer’s voice on command, and can be used to issue voice commands to the suit’s AI control system
>Eye lenses are composed of a bullet resistant polycarbonate with interior organic light emitting diode screens for heads-up display projection
>Heads-Up Display utilizes a multi-dock interface. Standard docks are Flight, Diagnostics, Mapping, Communications, and Targeting, which each display pertinent data, such as arc reactor power levels, pitch ladder displays, radar and LIDAR displays, 3D compass display, suit integrity, biomonitoring feedback, environmental data, and flight data, such as altitude, position relative to sea level, acceleration, G-force, G-LOC indicators, vertical velocity indicator, thrust indicator, control surface positioning, and course trajectories. During combat, the standard HUD is replaced by a composite weapons display which includes various targeting and weapons data

>Artificial neural net processor computer acts as the suit’s central control system. Although capable of managing all suit systems independently, an artificial intelligence can boost operating speed, make more complicated calculations during flight and combat, and manage suit systems more efficiently overall. In the case of designer Tony Stark, this role is usually filled by his personal intelligence system JARVIS, modelled and named after the late Stark family butler Edwin Jarvis. This system is geared for direct human voice interface, and is capable of mimicking human speech and vocal patterns in order to smooth human/AI interactions
>Augmented reality system displays relevant information about the wearer’s immediate environment wherever possible. For example, if an automobile were to enter into focal range of the optical receptors, performance specifications and a short description will be displayed in the peripherals of the HUD
>Retinal scan security system
>Integrated encrypted communications system with full cellular phone, wireless internet, telepresence, and comms interception functionality
>>
>>77728427
>getting beaten around to much to aim his hands
>doesn't want to kill either of them
>PTSD AND alcoholism,
>gets knocked around by two guys whose punches are like sledge hammers
>getting triggered by six seconds of two melee specialists pushing their advantage against a cornered ranged specialist inside a building
>>
Iron iPod was best armor.

Armor
>The suit’s armored shell is composed of non-explosive reactive armor plating. Composed of a matrix of silicon carbide segments sandwiched between two sheets of alloy plating, this armor is incredibly durable, capable of resisting high caliber rounds, incredibly high pressures, extreme temperatures, radiation, electricity, various CBRN threats, even glancing shots from armor piercing tank shells. The armor plates are composed of an alloy which consists of 95.5% cooled carbon nanotube reinforced nickel titanium in order to resist extreme temperatures during hypersonic flight and multiple high velocity impacts and weapons strikes during combat, and 4.5% gold to accommodate the suit’s electrical de-icing system, the voltage of which can be increased for offensive purposes, all fitted over a silicon-infused steel frame. This alloy is similar to the shell of the Stark Industries Seraphim tactical satellite, modified for hypersonic flight and heavy combat. In the event of a projectile penetrating the outer shell, the silicon carbide core prevents the projectile from reaching and penetrating the inner alloy layer. This set-up also serves to reduce weight so as not to compromise the suit’s power-to-weight ratio. An unintended consequence of the de-icing system’s direct connection to the suit’s power core is that any exceedingly large electrical discharge suffered will travel directly to the core, potentially recharging or even supercharging the suit’s power levels
>Locomotion is provided by a series of high output servo motors and mechanical actuators concealed beneath the suit’s armor plating. Due to the high power output of the arc reactor core, these systems enhance the wearer’s natural strength by a remarkable 200%. For example, a 190 pound man who is capable of lifting his own body weight will be able to lift weights approaching 20 tons while wearing the suit.
>>
>>77728473

>This system serves to reduce fatigue and grant physical blows incredible striking power
Life Support
>Miniature rebreather allows fully independent sealed operation underwater, at high altitudes, or in a CBRN environment
>Hull pressure transducers track external pressure based on factors such as speed and altitude, and adjust internal pressure accordingly. This allows the suit to achieve hypersonic flight at high altitudes and operate at extreme depths underwater
>Integrated biomonitoring system incorporates EEG, EKG, blood pressure monitoring, magnetic resonance imaging, and toxicology samplers in order to perform in-field medical diagnosis. For maximum accuracy, an on-board AI should conduct this process
>Bio-recycling system can filter and recycle urine to produce drinkable water in the field
>Manual release controls allow the wearer to control pressure seals and air brake flaps in the event of a catastrophic power system failure
>>
>>77728479

Sensor Arrays
>Synthetic aperture radar allows for predictive 2D ground mapping out to 12 kilometers
>Lidar allows for precise terrain avoidance and 3D environment/structural mapping
>Active electronically scanned array radar uses cylindrical coordinates to rapidly auto-queue multiple targets and plot precise flight paths and weapons trajectories
>Inertial navigation system utilises multiple accelerometers, gyroscopes, and optical path difference readings to precisely calculate position, orientation, and velocity. This system is completely independent and immune to jamming
>Environmental sensors track temperature, atmospheric pressure, wind speed, and atmospheric composition, and can alert the wearer to the presence of radiation, harmful chemicals, and pathogens in the immediate vicinity
Power Systems
>Primary power is provided by the Mk. III Miniaturized Arc Reactor. Based on a full sized model which is used to power the Stark Industries main manufacturing plant, the Mk. III is about the size of a human fist, yet has a maximum power output of 12 gigajoules per second, quadruple the power output of earlier palladium core models. A miracle of fusion technology, the arc reactor is similar in design to the Tokamak fusion reactor, which utilises magnetic fields containing plasma which is used for high output fusion reactions, all of which is contained within a helical containment unit. However, Stark’s design is far more compact, and utilises a unique core composed of a previously non-existent element which Stark synthesized himself. This element, similar to theoretical element ununoctium, derives from Howard Stark’s research into synthesizing vibranium, and is incredibly stable and durable, and, unlike palladium, has no harmful side effects
>In the event of primary power being depleted or disabled, various secondary systems can provide enough power to keep essential systems operational, albeit at significantly reduced efficiency
>>
>>77728465
It was sexy as hell, and the personality to match.
Sucks that now we have the Invincible Jewish Man
>>
>>77728427
>the way he's being treated right now literally triggers me
Literally every character I like, so save your bitching for a board that isn't tired of it...
>>
>>77728492

>These secondaries include high capacity batteries, solar collection arrays, and simple electrical ports which can receive power from simple apparatuses such as car batteries
Flight Systems
>Utilizing Stark Industries’ signature repulsor technology, the suit’s boots house high output propulsion systems which allow the wearer to achieve high altitude hypersonic flight. This technology utilises energized particle flows to create thrust. Due to the arc reactor’s incredibly high power output, these thrusters are capable of outperforming the latest military fighter jets with ease. Maximum speeds are theoretically as high as Mach 8, and maximum flight altitude is approximately 90,000 feet, higher than the record set by the legendary SR-71 Blackbird spy plane
>Additional thrust systems in the calfs and shoulder blades can provide increased thrust at a cost of increased power consumption. Dual chest thrusters allow for incredibly rapid climbs at angles near 90 degrees, even during hypersonic flight
>Built in to the outer shell are a series of crystallized titanium control surfaces which allow for rapid and precise maneuvering at incredibly high speeds despite the suit’s naturally non aerodynamic shape
>>
>>77728506
Armaments
>Originally designed as flight stabilizers, models Mk. III and above are equipped with weapons grade palm repulsors. Thermoplastic lenses utilizing variable prismatic shutters direct and modulate energized plasma particle flows, providing constant output in order to hover or provide stabilization during flight, or high intensity short bursts for offensive purposes. The Mk. VII’s upgraded plasma chargers increase power and decrease recharge time during combat
>Shoulder mounted quad missile batteries contain 23 micro homing missiles each. These, along with all other guided projectile weapons, contain independent microcomputers which are connected to the suit’s targeting systems, allowing them to independently home in on multiple targets
>Thigh-mounted quad AGM missile batteries
>Hip-mounted flare/chaff launchers
>Upgraded from the Mk. VI’s one-shot single beam chemical lasers, the Mk. VII contains two tri-barrel laser batteries, each with a 5 gigajoule maximum output. Although these lasers now feed directly from the suit’s power core, extended use still consumes significant amounts of power and is not recommended
>Dual wrist-mounted guided anti-armor AGM/AAM missile launchers
>8 forearm-mounted dual micro missile batteries
>Although the arc reactor’s primary function is to provide power to the suit, the core’s housing is equipped with a thermoplastic lens and emitter system similar to the palm repulsors. Through this lens, the arc reactor can expel energy directly for offensive purposes, allowing its full power to be projected, making this the suit’s most powerful weapon
>>
>>77728517

Deployment System
>Utilizing technologies pioneered in the Mk. V Portable Suit, the Mk. VII is equipped with a rapid deployment system which removes the need for the automated assembly gantry used with previous models. In standby mode, the Mk. VII takes the form of a large box, approximately 6 feet tall. Upon activation, a pair of retractable laser scanners interface with a pair of encoded bracelets worn by the operator. Upon establishing that the individual is authorized for use, the box unfolds, and the armor will assemble itself around the wearer automatically. Although this system lacks the Mk. V’s portability, it is equipped with a short range propulsion system, allowing it to travel to the wearer’s position, and can even assemble in mid air. Despite its relative lack of mobility, no functionality is sacrificed, unlike the Mk. V, which had only basic functionality in order to remain lightweight and portable.

That's it.

For all Iron Dickery he did while inverted, at least we got that Daredevil/Foggy moment when Matt sees him.

It should be 200 times.

This is from Marvel, and was given out during the Avengers Premiere
>>
>>77728637

Kind of breaks the armor. The actuators are too small to be able to exert that kind of power.
>>
>>77728668
His armor is made of some other alloy, which nearly rivals vibranium. Also, the onboard AI manages the suit and adjusts the internal mechanisms accordingly to reduce redundant force.

You're saying that like it was a bad thing.
>>
Also, Iron Man is low tier in UMvC3.
>>
>>77728829
They never give it a name, but there are lots of clies that lead to the fact that the metal(or alloy) is really strong. In iron man 1, at the end when he is shown the newspaper by Pepper, he says his suit (Mark III) is made of a Gold-Titanium alloy. His suit is later made completely enclosed and also retrofitted with lasers and detachable parts, which retain their integrity even when not connected to the central armor. In AOU he is able to withstand Ultron, whose body was at least partially made of Vibranium (Cap's shield never went in fully during the fight scene on the top of the truck). Plus, with the new suit in CA:CW, he has implemented miniature repulsors that should be able to fire beams in almost every direction wihout him moving.

I feel very bad for you, because it's been about 16 years since there's been a decent Iron Man comic with art that doesn't make you vomit, and probably 25+ years since he was treated with an ounce of respect outside of his own ongoing.

They tried to make him a fucking villain like five times.

They tried their hardest during Civil War. Even Marvel's forums were split into pro and anti Registration.

Every run is periodic now
>new suit
>new hoe
>minor problems until issue 10
>major plot unveiled issue 12
>he loses everything
>stupid event crossover
>event gives him something new
>gets rid of the bad guy (who is a descendant of the previous bad guy)
>turns out his hoe was working against him
>she dies/kicks his ass when he isn't in his suit and runs away/dies
>tony stark sets up stark industries again
>last two issues end on a high note

The worst part is when his new suits get their asses kicked by incompetent enemies. The writers conviniently forget his powers.
