I really hope this fails. Fuck Don Bluth.
>>77719657
Your mother already did.
>>77719657
Alright, what did Don Bluth do?
>>77720066
Nothing, it's just that asshole who's against all crowdfunding.
>>77720283
Why do people get so shitty about where people get their money from? Like those people who oppose Patreon as a concept. All this stuff about "get a real job" and whatnot. As long as someone isn't doing something fucked up and shitty or dipping into my tax money without my approval I don't give a fuuuuck where they get their funding/pay from
>>77720336
Mostly kids and conspiracy theorists, if I had to make a guess.
People with no real idea of economics, who have persecution complexes and insecurities to project.
>>77720916
This. I've seen people online say that Patreon is a shady website that ought to be investigated by the government for scamming or some shit.
As if the the government doesn't already know about it when Patreon funded people have to pay taxes on their earnings.
Idiots have no fucking clue how free markets work. Or for that matter, where the name "Patreon" even comes from. There have been "patrons of the arts" in history since forever.
>>77720975
Kickstarter has been wonderful for /tg/, since we've finally been getting a lot of new blood in the industry.
Of course some faggot spams every thread with happy merchant and replies to every post like a thirteen year old trolling an oldschool forum.
>>77720336
It's called projecting.
The most ass-blasted anti-crowdfunding posters don't have a job.
Hopefully the rewards this time will be actually related to Dragon's Lair and not mostly technical animation related.
So how's that Goon movie doing guys?
>>77720336
To be fair Kickstarter has become a breeding ground for scams from acclaimed creators and "creators".
I don't see how anyone can have a problem with Patreon though, it's literally just paying for a product, and if they don't deliver the product they don't get paid. It's no different from selling art or merchandise, it's just much easier.
>>77719616
Shit man, that figure might as well be naked.
Daphne is sexy.
>>77719616
what's Don Bluth gonna do with $500,000?
Make a 3 min clip?
Did they really give her pointy nipples and high-rise swimsuit in the movie?
If so I think I need to watch it.
>>77725385
Yeah.
>>77725480
Nobody's going to fund a full thing of this. Nobody wants it.
>>77726023
Look at these tits man
>>77725337
>>77725322
>>77725282
>>77725241
You are saying you don't want to see more of those?
>>77726169
Nah. That style of animated girl is passe. She's ugly now. Make it more like anime or something.
No I'm not joking.
>>77726169
The thing is, I could see studios OK'ing this, but only if they make it kid friendly.
>>77726169
Instead of her tits I can't help but focus on her witch hands
>>77724038
Different people.
>>77726237
You suck.
>>77724396
In Patreon it's easier to get fucked out of money as an artist since lots of assholes claim patronage but then remove it the day before they're charged.
>>77726169
>I want to pay for a trailer hoping it transforms into a movie length animation if a studio "decides" to take interest
This is you,right now
>>77726237
wow I didn't know someone could have low-test opinions of cartoons
>>77721327
Sorta true, but it also allowed no-talent hacks to rape the fuck out of WoD because Onyx Path employs fucking anyone willing to write.
