Working on one of my main weakness - light sources.

I kept shading it, and it went all over the place.

This is the colored version but it came out really shitty. I made a bunch of mistakes and I didn't really want to do a line art layer but was too stubborn to learn how to change the color of the original outline so I just did the lineart as quickly as possible and didn't like how the lineart came out. It's much easier to organize because the program is designed from the ground up to do boards. You can do onion-skinning and have custom boxes for dialogue and screen direction. ALSO it doesn't become bogged down like photoshop does with a million layers.
I've done boards in photoshop. It's... not a great idea beyond a certain level.
Also, Storyboard Pro is practically the industry standard in the American animation world. Europe I think uses TV Paint more. Japan... I have no idea.
Here's a bunch of hands from a comic I've been working on for the past week or so. Drawing a fuckload of pages in a short amount of time really helps you learn how to get better.

Genuine question: how can I learn to draw?
'draw more' doesn't work for me because I get very unmotivated and depressed looking at my drawings.

I learned from watching other people draw and studying how their hands move. Another thing that helped is just blatantly tracing for a while before doing stuff completely on my own. This is a very early method and shouldn't be used as a crutch but it's a good way to start drawing with a satisfactory finished product. Find out what you can draw on your own and really focus on them and then branch out to other things when you're ready. The key really is practice though.

It goes through all the basics and has a well designed learning program that paces itself well.
It also a plays like a game which is like crack to your brain which means you will be coming back.
It's a decent crash course of the basics and it minimizes the chances of you starting to procrastinate and stop drawing.
It's kinda like Rocksmith but for drawing. That shit works.
And once you have gotten comfortable enough drawing with it you can spread your wings and start drawing stuff on your own.
It will not make you a master but it will get you from the zero skill point to the point where you have enough control and skill to start drawing shit you want to draw and won't completely hate. Aka the first hump that kills 99% of the artists.

You need to establish a light source first. It can be the sun, a fire or a lightbulb, you just need to know where it is in relation to the rest of the set and characters. Honestly, what you have now looks fine, although it's hard to judge without full color yet. Put in the remaining flat colors, and then it may be easier to help.

Well, what you've shown is her colors under normal lighting, yes? For something in full shade, I would personally create a new palette for that situation. Shadows should not only be a bit darker that the color it's on, but a bit more bluish in color. The opposite goes for highlights- they should be a brighter shade and more red/yellow. Because of this, you can make palettes that reflect tons of different environments, using shades that never even were a part of the natural light color.
