A lot of it has to do with the rise of social media and nostalgiafaggotry, though, and ~90s kids~ have become increasingly more vocal over the years. They're still a niche market but they've shown that they'll put their money where their mouths are. That said, I can't pretend that I'm not at least a little excited about this. The show's creator is involved so I'm cautiously optimistic. I have a huge soft spot for Hey Arnold. It's one of the few 90's Nicktoons that I loved as a kid that still holds up.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't see why fans clamored for a Jungle Movie and why getting one is a good thing.
I felt like the episode 'The Journal' was meant to evoke a feeling of "live and let live". At the end, Arnold, having learned the story of his parents went outside, feeling depressed, then went back inside (correct me if that was another episode). To me, this showed that we all have down moments but get out of them eventually, that his grandma and grandpa were family enough in the end, and that you can't have everything perfect in life.
Hearing about the plans for the Jungle Movie, it all sounds too hunky-dory, fanfiction-y, and awkward (yay Arnold gets back his parents, yay Arnold kisses Helga).
