It was pretty shitty.
Overarching plots and emotional depth replaced by self contained slapstick comedy episodes
New monk is both incredibley annoying and an Omi OC.
The Sheng Gong Wu just seem really lame now. Reversing Mirror? Eye of Dashi? Two tonne tunic? Nah. Have a chocolate bunny that duplicates itself or a unicorn than runs on rainbows.
A lot lot lot more act humour, especially from Dojo.
Jack Spicer is still comic relief and nothing else despite being the breakout character from last series. Raimundo downgraded back to sarcastic friend and Wuya to nagging ghost.
Its clear whoever had a hand in making XS good was not present for this show.

I loved that episode. Jack sincerely tries to be a hero and the monks all shit on him.
In the showdown for that ep, truth or dare, they both had to face the fact the Jack was scared of failing as a good guy and Omi wasnt really focusing on helping him when he should have.
This was meant to tease Jack becoming the Monk of Metal, but CN wouldnt let them change that.
