For me it's about balance I guess. Sometimes I'll watch an episode of Rick & Morty, then right after I may watch a documentary about the Buddhist iron industry in Afghanistan back in the 11th century or something.
I don't tell everyone i watch cartoons. The ones that do know have no problem with it or watch it themselves.

Honestly co workers haven't talked much shit, some people have asked me random cartoon questions. I.e. what was disneys first cartoon or when was such n such released.
There are some co workers that think cartoons are only for kids, and when ever they try to insult me, i chirp that i was an animation major before joining the navy. Then they usually piss off.
Besides the point, why should anyone give a fuck about what you do? Enjoy life and do it without worrying about other people
