Last weekend's thread:

-The big plus4chan scare
-Some chatter about Cosmic Crusaders
-A couple new pics from magi
-Part of a new Erin story

It was a short thread.

>The big plus4chan scare
I'm super glad +4 is alive again
>>
>>77614067
For some strange reason, the /coc/ board there still redirects me to the index, which is a 404.

I can access the individual threads on that board from my history, but I can't get to the main page of the board.
>>
Is there a reason we don't start these threads on friday?
>>
>>77614404
Back when threads were started on Friday, they tended not to last unless someone had made something really significant, like a comic.
>>
>>77614404
Friday night is like a black hole for these threads.

They can never seem to last through them.
>>
Well, I do have something I wanted to bring up.

Looking at The /Co/smic Ones, and the fact that some of them are still slated for revision, would it be feasible to replace The Cosmic Peeper with The /aco/lyte Wizard?

It would be possible to have him fill the same idea of an assistant to The Archivist, an assistant who lords over the smut sections.
>>
>>77615680
I thought /aco/ wanted to keep their setting separate.
>>
>>77616341
What /aco/ says changes by the thread.

It was just a suggestion though since it looked like it could've fit together pretty well.

Can't tell who the guy above Riggs is.

I want to say it might be Reef?

It looks vaguely like coral growing from his head, and I do think someone suggested the Aqua Coalition as something to draw when CosCru anon was asking.

Also, you skipped Regicide, next to Rookie.

>>

>>
>>77624347

he could but he just doesn't want to, this scene is after he kills cat pajamas.

Cat Pajamas forces cat meow to kill a cop and tells Bee that cat meow will do anything he tells her to do and she will never be able to escape his grip.

So Bee fights him head on, Bee fought Pajamas before and was often severly wounded because he hardly used his stinger as they are way too deadly, also due to the hardness of his bones, he always could break bones with a punch or a kick, so he holds back. This time was different though, the fight was rather short and Bee won without any wounds(or rather I forgot to draw them).

Venus Fly trap was always kinda gay for bee, even before he gained his powers. After he got his powers, he started to stalk Bee and thought this would be the best moment to make him his.

I think it was originally about a kid who got super powers, fought another kid at his high school who also got super powers, then ran from the police because a really stupid ghetto friend of him told him too.
Then he learned break dancing and used that to fight crime, crime being a guy with a comically over-sized purple cat head and purple zuit suit and his catgirl cronies.

I do ship Venus and Bee but I don't know if I want Bee to go full gay. >>77625079 here Bee gave in because of Venus powers and Venus being over seductive, also Bee felt empty at that moment and didn't care what'll happen next anyway.

So their first and maybe last night together was just with Bee lying there while Venus was riding and kissing him.

Well or maybe Bee started to be aggresiv at some point, as he started to think about what just happened and fucked Venus really hard.
>>
>>77638634
Bee's relationship has been depicted as more the type of "Don't give a fuck" bisexual than full gay. He's not particularly attracted to men or masculinity, but on the other hand he's not going to let the fact VFT is male stop him.

It doesn't take much time or effort to check in on a thread. People are probably just burnt out on whatever's been popular in the thread recently.
>>
>>77646884
What has been popular lately anyway?

Last thread there was hardly anything and the thread before that there was hardly anything too, and the thread before that was mostly the same.

The most that's happened lately was some info dumps on the Dark Hearts, some of the outline of the Motion story, and some bits of writefagging.
>>
Just updated the Un-wiki’d Temp Storage google doc to have the story outlines for:
-Spearhead & Harpoonist #1: Tides of Destiny
-Aqua Coalition (of Super Friends)
-The Motion story
-Trinity time table (JD, Wells, Theta story)

I've never been able to figure out where to put stuff like that on the wiki since it isn't formed enough to really fit anywhere on there, but there so much info that we have a risk of losing something significant if it does get lost.

With the info available, the next pages going on the wiki will probably be about The Dark Hearts, as soon as I can get some claification about their name. Is it "The Darkhearts", "The Dark Heats", "The Cabal of the Dark Hearts", "The Dark Heart Cabal" or do they call themselves something else?

And also a "List of Extraterrestrial species in the /co/verse" page. Can't just call it "Aliens" since I think demons might actually fall under the broad spectrum of that classification and I'm not ready to deal with magical alien overlap.

Since nothing really seems to be happening, I'd like to get some input to better organize on this.

>>
On the subject of the alien J/co/ member known as Pleasurepuss, I think her species name should be Pleasurepuss and she never really had a name of her own.

If I can swing this to be an alien race that was either bred, or genetically engineered to be a sex slave race, then it fits in nicely with the theme that keeps showing up in the space setting where aliens that deal in genetic engineering are viewed with suspicion. There was a super alien race that fucked with a lot of other races with their genetic uplifting, so if her race was created by this empire or someone they conquered who was using technology from or salvaged from those uplifter aliens, then it brings it into the overarching plot that's forming from too many coincidences I've noticed.

Since the evil space empire Pleasurepuss was a slave to was destroyed by an armada, it's not a stretch to say those were the PKs, who have a known hatred for anyone who practices extensive genetic engineering.

Though I can't see any of this tying in with the space logs and Cookie, yet, I'd still rather set it up so that I could work it in later if the opportunity presents itself.

There's still the issue of what the character Pleasurepuss' name should be.
I have brought this up in the /aco/ creation threads before, but I didn't make much headway in this area.
>>
>>77657370
>Pleasurepuss
I like the name as a "well fuck, I might as well call myself something these humans understand!" rather than the legit name. It's too dumb to have her species' nomenclature, or whatever, go like that.

She does mainly interact with humans/beings outside her species, right?
>>
>>77657538
Ancient information
http://justicecomrades.pbworks.com/w/page/13256819/Pleasurepuss

Her backstory states that she was very skilled at the sex game and eventually found herself in an evil emperor's harem. During her time there the other harem girls taught her to read, write, and fight in exchange for teaching them her pleasuring techniques and secrets since they were afraid she'd make them all obsolete.

She saw a lot of really evil shit during her time here. One day an opposing armada showed up to fight this evil emperor and she herd their propaganda broadcasts about how life not enslaved by this guy is like.

She managed to kill the emperor, which threw his forces into chaos, which let this opposing armada defeat them and free her.
Now freed, she picks up some new skills and tech while out and about the galaxy before crashing on Earth.

She has limited telepathy and a device that can project a force field around her, which also allows her to fly. She also has a probe stick that can tell her a lot of useful information about adversaries if she's able to probe them with it.

Revisions would be that her race was created for the role she serves and the armada becomes the PKs.
Interactions with humans and other J/co/ members I have never seen expanded upon.

I can't see an evil empire coming up with anything all that creative name wise for a race of sex slaves, so Pleasurepuss might well be what her species is called and that's all they ever called her during her time enslaved.
>>

All the more reason I need to make an info dump page for aliens.

From what I can remember, they evolved on a water world and developed a mutually beneficial relationship with the symbiotes long before their societies advanced.
So the symbiotes have always been a part of their culture.

They started selectively breeding them for certain purposes and got different types over time.

What they looked like before all the selective breeding was something like the top left of pic related.

Then they started getting ones that naturally had beta and delta matter in them, which is like a super battery, so think the electric organ of electric eels.
Lovely Ladybug uses a beta matter proton pack to power her suit, so it all ties in somehow.

Start a new magical girl team, call them the rainbow team or something, fill it with whatever diversity you like, and propose it to be added to the universe somehow, if people like your idea, maybe they will discuss it, or even make art or write story for it. Just do it.
>>
All I'm saying is maybe be a bit more original than White Team Plus One Non-White, and make this part of what their design is a little more than not-at-all.

Like the girl in the headdress, why not have her wear a kaffiyeh? Then she can style and pull it in different ways depending on her mood or the cirrent story. Her being middle eastern (racially) is obvious then since cultural appropriation is wrong.

That's just one idea on how to add some diversity to them.
>>
>>77666611
>>77667313
I'm actually really tired of forced diversity in comics. It always has to be about making a character black, or muslim, or suddenly gay in the big 2.

All that ever comes of it are the "ethnic" characters being a collection of stereotypes about whatever group they're a part of.
If you want the ethnic friends, then look at the Planeteers.

Characters who are "their only defining trait is that there are [race/religion/place of origin]" aren't really characters and I don't see why this argument keeps coming up for the BRITISH magical girl squad.
Originally I wanted them to be of different regions of the UK, not greater Europe, and not the world in general.
In this scenario, making them the ethnic diversity squad takes away from the original idea.

And that's becoming all that we ever talk about when these girls get brought up.
>>
>>77667313
Now you are just being lazy.

Propose a new character.. We can just add them to the team if you want, bullshit justification or not.
>>
>>77667560
Like one of them was supposed to be Welsh and she and the Basement Wizard would've gotten along pretty well in their mutual suffering since the yanks like their sheep fucker jokes.

One of them was supposed to have been from Dundee, with a lot of Scotland mixed into her upbringing.

Another was supposed to have been from the south to play on the whole southern fairy thing.

And one of them was supposed to have been from Ireland, the one who fukken hates this shit wants to do her own thing.

Instead it turned into German commando girl, Norway whatever the fuck girl, Asian girl who anons do nothing but argue over, and whatever the fuck the other one is who might actually still have been from Britain.

It all got over complicated when forced diversity happened, because once diversity kicks in, that's it, that's all anyone ever talks about.
You want diversity, then you START with it.
The Magic School Bus started with a divers class, they didn't suddenly have the characters swapping races from one episode to the next.
>>
Although I do think that making yet another "all-white" group is jank, it feels like your "diverse" just reinforces or even brings a magnifying glass to all that "whiteness" you're going on about. Diversity requires an aggregate, not "welp, at least they're not white."

It could also be a handicap for some of the people ITTs. White characters are all they know. I mean, we're just fucking around with concepts in here, handicaps are harder to shake when you're just fucking around.

Also, I won't bother replying to a post, since ya'll know what I'm referring to, anyways.

This dude reads like a false flagging broken record, or at the very least, is shit at getting a point across. But then the other anon is pretty much the same passive-aggressive thing, every time.

Diversity is important, or else some of the cool looking things you find on the /Co/nservatory wouldn't be as cool. And as for the "forced" aspect? That's on you, as an individual that may or may not have experienced to much PR campaigns of "Hey, look at this!"

Caucasian characters have been everything from mediocre characters, to amazing characters. Right now I can't take a step outside without seeing a bunch of different people. Even inside, with my house mates.

My pale ass doesn't find it troublesome to actually take that into account on fiction.

And southern fairy girl is Spring.

>>77668101
Passive-aggressive? I'm being actively aggressive. I'm fukken mad at this point and I don't give a shit to hide my maddness.

I'm tired of seeing the same stupid shitty race arguments dominate anything to do with those girls thread after thread with each new thread somehow resetting it all back to start.

I am actively making my distaste known for diversifying a group of characters who are all from the same group of islands.

It's like if you set a story in Brazil with the intent for the story to be about the native culture, practices, and whatever and made the main characters Australians.

If it was an outsider looking in story then it's be fine, but the 4 season magical girls have never been about that.
>>
>>77668372
In a way, that's pretty much half the point. Part of the reason she's the outsider, solo member of the group that distrusts authority and refuses to work for others is growing up as a discriminated minority. She's a witch by her own studies because she felt like she couldn't get the power to take control of her life through legitimate means.

That's why this bitch needs friendship.
>>
>>77668501
Creative disagreements, then. Not everyone in a shared communal project is going to be having the same goals as you.

On the one hand, the chinese girl is all kinds of why are we even doing this? On the other hand, I like the idea behind the turkish girl. They make for a good example of what to do and what not to do with diversity, the difference between randomly assigning a race just because and having some conflict caused by the character's origins be influential to their story.
>>
>>77668501
What year is the story set it?

>>
>>77668639
I was actually fine with the asian, I was fine with with the turk, but since that's become all we ever talk about I'm saying "fuck it" and am backtracking to the roots of the core concept.
Because if we are forever going to get hung up on where the girls are from instead of developing their personalities, and then telling a story with them, then what's the damn point?

I want plot discussion.

Like, how did they all find the magical bullshit place on the British Islands to get their power in the first place?
Are they ever going to fight giant cockroaches in the decaying cloud castle house of god?
Where do they fit in with Britainment?
What are they actually capable of doing?
Should they only have their powers while on the islands?

BUT NO, it always has to be about the super diversity friends, the most boring part of the whole concept that I think, if left as is, will turn into another Tat war.

My point is, if you want diversity, don't make the whole project be about just that.
>>
>>77668964
That's not a problem with the diversity, it's a problem with this obvious troll >>77666295 and people completely willing to take his bait.

Nobody is talking about their story progression because there's barely anyone talking about any story progression for anything. People are only talking about the diversification because it's easy as fuck to get people riled up about it. Guess what, that means you too.
>>
>>77668834
Set in modern times, after the fall of the Queen's Queers and formation of Britianment.

The STORY was about Britainment taking up the jobs their predecessors did by getting the right girls to the right place to get their powers.
What came after that was quickly shoved to the wayside for bullshit that we are still knee deep in to this thread.

The girls never felt main character-ish to me and the only consensus at the time of their creation was "British seasonal magical girls".

The only reason they haven't been quickly forgotten is because we argue about them so much.

>>
>>77669039
And that means you too since you didn't bother replying to any of my plot questions.

From what I can tell, there are about three big main plot points for /co/verse Britain.
-There's "the big bad thing that happened" (I hate this, I hate that this doesn't have a name) which fucked up the QQs and created magical hot spots all over the island which the survivors need to deal with. This is the bulk of Britainment stories.
-There's the jabberwocky who turns people into monsters by chewing them up and the only with to kill it and cut the people out of their monster flesh is with the vorpal sword. This monster keeps resurfacing somehow.
-And there's the god war happening. I'm assuming the magical girls are needed to deal with this.

All three tie together so closely with the same characters present that anons are forgetting that they are different plots.

There's also whatever Cosmic Crusaders anon has in the works much further down the line.

It's funny that this gets brought up.

Wikia has been nagging me lately with their "insights" feature again and one of the requested pages (pages that don't exist, yet have links on other pages going to them) is for Breast Wars.
>>
>>77671134
It's a sign. The power of tits will not be ignored.
>>
>>77671207
The most Breast Wars ever got was a handful of pics of them all together and a google doc with a plot outline that some anons kept trying to scrap entirely and start over with when there was already weeks of effort put into it.
>>
>>77671430
Someone put together a flowchart for the general story progression. It's really barebones but a decent outline.
>>
>>77671207
Given that almost every /co/ project that gets any traction is squarely tit-centric I'd say that's undeniable.
>>
>>77671463
It was an outline of the google doc outline.

I don't know if partially thought out ideas should have pages on the wiki since then they tend to get stuck where they're at when the info is added.
>>
>>77671894
There are plenty of half-baked ideas on the wiki. Most of the shit that gets discussed in these threads never really gets fleshed out. Still, Breast Wars needs a concrete narrative structure.
>>
>>77671965
I never enjoy putting half-baked things on the wiki.

As soon as I put something on the wiki it feels like the threads stop talking about it.

Condemning a project to a state of permanent half-bakedness is worse than just letting it remain formless in the void between ideas.

Well, I did a bit more, though I kept doing more stuff that comes later since I got kind of stuck with how to make Erin sneak off or excuse herself from the imp's business with the editorial living book thing.

>>77657798
As Erin entered The Cryptic Skein once more, she couldn't help but notice she was getting a number of looks.
Though she paid them no mind, she considered they might be because of a certain imp poking its head out of her courier pouch like some kind of living fashion accessory, or over excited dog on a car ride.

The moving topography of the Skein was still as confusing as before to navigate, but now she had landmarks to guide her back to the editorial department.
"You have another delivery." Said Erin rather flatly as she placed the imp upon the chief book head's desk.
This time its scribblings ceased as it directed what Erin assumed to be its full attention upon the now even smaller looking imp.
As if awestruck that such things could exist, the imp remained speechless until Erin gave him a nudge.
"Ah, yes, I'm- I am the scribe responsible for the book delivered to you earlier today." The book head's expression was impossible to read, but it seemed to be giving the imp the equivalent of a blank stare.
"I believe there are some... linguistic issues that you are not completely aware of."

Speaking of GG, I got around to hammering all that winter-costume talk from a couple threads ago into a synopsis.

>Wintertime
>GG has changed to her winter costume, a long-pants variation with a sweater over top (SQ is protected from the cold by her powers; possible title-panel gag here)
>GG and SQ are tracking down thieves in a shopping district who have thus far evaded all detection
>In the course of her investigation, GG's sweater gets snagged and begins to unravel without her notice
>Some store workers carrying boxes pass by and trip over the unraveling thread
>The boxes burst open, revealing all sorts of stolen goods; the thieves have been avoiding notice by disguising themselves as employees!
>SQ congratulates GG on unraveling the case
>GG looks over her ruined sweater and notes that's not all she unraveled

-Carinids (look like dog sized sea slugs)
-Cruixir (fusion kill machines)
-Facerenti (/fa/ aliens)
-Pleasurepuss (artificially engineered sex slaves)

-Symbiote Breeders (placeholder name)
-Teuthoids (amphibian bureaucrats)
-Uplifter/modifier aliens (no name has even been given, they've messed with an untold number of other species' development)
-Vreen (want to kill everything)

I kind of want to give this one a go, since you can play around with a lot of nomenclature about symbiosis, but that's like an alien species calling humans "industrians" because they land on earth and see all the factories.

Is there any bit of backstory on the aliens themselves?
>>
>>77690985
I don't know where the link to the google doc with everything Breast Wars related was being kept, but saved my own copy anyway.

The DFC weren't able to get a foothold in the prime /co/verse because Diego Armendez saw them trying to take over his turf, prompting a gang war that got a number of supers involved.
During one of the fire fights between the gangs, the DFC and the heroes, the BQ characters showed up terminator style and the fight continued until a little while after the DFC agents retreated.

-Evolved on a high class death world on the alien's rating scale. It's an ocean world.
-The breeder aliens formed a bond with these other aliens and over countless generations evolved into being two species perfectly adapted for each other.
-At first I think they just made the aliens better swimmers.
-The edge the symbiotes gave these aliens gave them the ability to advance as a society.
-Then they started breeding them selectively to get different models for specialized tasks.
-Bonding is permanent.
-Eventually figured out how to make symbiotes that could control delta matter, giving them force fields and stuff.
-Became space faring.
-So many more generations later there are even more specialized breeds of symbiotes now.
-Black market or a rouge scientist made one that was hyper adaptive.
-His ship got shot down.
-Hyper adaptive symbiote bonded to a human to survive.

The comic some anon was doing starts at the end of all that.

Bonding is permanent, but reproduction is still separate.

The breeder race aren't born bonded and the symbiotes aren't born attached to anyone. It's sort of a rite of passage when they choose a symbiote if I'm remembering all the discussion correctly.

Natural symbiotes, not specialized by the breeder race for a specific purpose, still exist and as part of certain naturalist factions.

It is not necessary for either species to bond to survive, but hyper specialized symbiotes probably do need to bond to survive.

Colby is a ladybro.

/co/nrad doesn't seem to have any male friends to go out and do incredibly stupid things with.
>>
>>77712892
So? It's not like the character can't be written to go out and do incredibly stupid things with Colby. Also, that reads very out-of-character for him, as a pro detective and all.
>>
>>77713124
A lot of what /co/nrad does would be considered incredibly stupid by the rules of common sense.

He lives in a world with supers, magic, aliens, giant monsters, and whatever else we can think up, but he's still just a normal human who puts on a mask and willingly throws himself into the mix.

The only reason why what he does on a daily basis isn't incredibly stupid is because somehow what he does works and he keeps living.
>>
does the /co/-verse have something like a civil war-story-line?
>>
>>77713455
I'm only slightly familiar with the Civil War story line, and I heard it was a terrible comic series.

The big super groups in the /co/verse do their own things and try to maintain good relations with each other.
The Justice /co/mrades deal with all happenings on the floating island since it's a massive weirdness magnet.
The Justice Coalition are more down to Earth and have some government contracts.
>>
>>77713455
No, why? Gross, dude.
>>
>>77713455
>civil war
It's going to be one of those, isn't it? Just a chunk of time filled with only that. I already live through the flimsy plot once, I'm just unhyped for this movie.
>>
>>77713455
No, that would be fucking stupid and awful.
>>
>>77713455
>>77713833
>>77713891

It doesn't have to be exactly like the comics or rather, now that we know how it shouldn't be done, the /co/-verse version can avoid all those mistakes.

I mean the core idea is still reasonable and so many people with such strong yet different beliefs like heroes, its kinda unbelieveable that there is no conflict between them.
>>
>>77714053
I think the majority of the conflict between the hero organizations was hashed out in the 80s, before most of the time periods we focus on take place.

The 80s in the /co/verse were just one war after another.
The fae invasion, the martian invasion, the rise and fall of the machine cult, just to name a few.
>>
>>77714053
Why would you want it, though? Obviously it was brought up because of the movie, but really, why would you want that?
>>
>>77714477

because conflicts between heroes with different views is more interesting than conflict between good and evil.

BQ has the best robots.
>>
>>77714545
Nah, I can't get behind it at all.

I want to see good vs evil fights more than hero vs hero fights, not more of whatever Marvel is pushing.

I don't care for rehashes of what I've already seen in the big 2, I try to always keep any story suggestions I make in these threads fresher than that.
>>
>>77714833

are you implying that hero vs. hero is less fresh than good vs. evil?
>>
>Conrad: I think this garden party needs a spring house.
>Colette: You mean a bounce shack?
>CIVIL WAR
>>
>>77714964
This is the only acceptable concept for any civil war shit.
>>
>>77714903
If your argument is just to compare an old concept against another old concept, then I'd wager Evil vs Evil is in need of a go.
>>
>>77714053
Why does it have to be a huge civil war type scenario if you just want some interpersonal character conflict?
>>
>>77714903
Yes.

It feels like super hero comics these days are becoming less about heroes punching bad guys and more about inserted realism that has been becoming more prominent over the years.

I want to see cool shit in comics, not more of the same shit I could get by turning on the news.

And if you don't get what I'm saying, then having to recycle plots that have already been done while specifically saying they are being recycled because someone thinks we can do it better sounds like a waste of time.
If you want to do a story, do one about something you like, not one because you disliked this other story so much you felt compelled to try to recreated it with other characters.

I can think of many other ways to make heroes fight without having some overly contrived justification.

Like mass hypnosis, imperfect mass cloning, time paradoxes, mind entrapment, kidnapping and forced to fight because hostages, a battle reenactment where they get possessed by ghosts, >>77714964, etc.

Any of those would be a better reason to have heroes fight than whatever civil war was about.

Conflicting ideologies between individual people can easily be solved with words, and with so many supers, it's easy for any parties in conflict to find a mediator who could beat the shit out of them both if need be.
>>
>>77715557

I always had the feeling, people participate specially in those threads because they are getting sick the dark edgy "realism" that is going on in current day comics and want just light hearted evil of the day fun with wacky plots.
>>
>>77715700
Well that's one of my reasons for liking /coc/ stuff, even though somehow I've become more and more involved with the non-cape stories we do in here.
>>
>>77714553
Definitely.

Probably an exercise in futility to bump this the night before a holiday, but nevertheless.
>>
>>77719550
If you knew, then why'dja do it, anon?
>>
>>77719574
Because Thanksgiving is the season of hope!

Or turkey. I forget.
>>
>>77719550
I wonder how the Holiday Lanterns thread will play out this year.

I'm never able to be around for them until after the day is nearly over.
