Marceline was still mentally a child, that's the point. She's been alive for a thousand years and she still hadn't learned to forgive and move on. Saying that the Vampire King had to die with no chance for redemption was an extremely petty thing.
Which is really weird with how she tried to convert Hierophant. It was like

I love them all, props on the AT team for Vampire Design. They are all very unique and don't look like traditional vampires. The Joker was fun loving and I honestly kind of felt bad for him, he just wanted to have fun - then again, he doesn't seem too bothered to be killed either The Empress also had a sick design, especially with her eyes and the snake. I really like the Heirophant's design as well, probably my second favorite. The Moon was sort of a letdown since I was a expecting a shy, quite, goth girl who doesn't want to do harm but just be left alone - nope, fucking demon. But the Vampire King is definitely the greatest, I just love his design and demeanor.

Hierophant imo explored the source material in the best way, there's a lot of cool stuff in eastern european vampire lore than rarely gets used and he was basically a mix of all of this.
VK had a really cool design too, he looked like a misplaced Hellboy villain.
Empress was ok but not far from standard, Moon was creepy as fuck but got very little focus, Fool was essentially a glorified generic mook so I'm not sure if he even should be taken into account.
