The first few episodes are the hardest to get through, but that's usually true for anything that doesn't find its voice right away. If you can keep interested through the first season, you won't regret continuing forward.

I rewatched the series again recently. The first two episodes weren't... completely terrible, and it might have been nostalgia carrying me from there but I enjoyed the rest as much, if not more than I did the first time. Easily ranks as one of my top three favorites animated series.
