Let's say, hypothetically, you wanted to get into the cartoon business. Let's say, somehow, you also had a secret alias where you made money off of filthy NSFW fanart and/or fanfiction. How likely would your secret alias, and the NSFW material, be linked back to the real you? How would you go about it to prevent that from ever happening?

I'm not an expert, but there are some obvious things like:
- Make sure your real name was never used by ANY of the accounts with that alias.
- Use different email addresses for the two identities. Some sites might publicly display your email. For example, they might reveal it when you click "I forgot my password".
- Make sure your identities don't link to each other. If your nsfw tumblr links to your sfw tumblr, which links to your deviantart, which links to your patreon, which links to your instagram, which links to your twitter then people WILL follow that trail.
- If you're making money with something other than an anonymous cryptocurrency then your real name is out there and connected to your alias. Make sure this isn't public (I don't know if this is possible. It'll probably depend on the payment service you use.)
- Delete anything personally identifying and anything that's too embarrassing to deal with if/when it does leak. But remember that this is not foolproof. Rebecca Sugar deleted her website, livejournal, and images from deviantart, but they are all partially mirrored by the Internet Archive and easily found. If you've ever revealed another alias or real name in the past then it's permanent. It might be possible to request the IA to remove certain things that you own, but I don't know.
- Ask yourself if your art style is recognizable.
