You can say whatever you want about how formulaic Regular Show is, how tumblr oriented Adventure Time got, how fat acceptance Steven Universe is, whatever you have to say about Gumball or Clarence, but you can't say that this shit is funny or good. I've tried watching this shit a lot and I can't laugh and it's just so fucking annoying. I don't know how kids watching this shit show will grow up to be normal citizens.
They referenced GG Allin once and that was pretty cool...I have nothing else to say about the show

I've been mentally deteriorating for the past few months and I've started to like this show, among other things.
It's funny sometimes. It's got that Adventure Time thing where it's really inconsistent both visually and writing-wise depending on who's boarding the episode, but the good stuff is good. S1 is pretty shit, though.

I like UG. It's closer to Tex Avery Screwy Squirrel shorts than anything currently airing. Even though I think the animation quality is lacking, or really just kind of plain, the actual weirdness of everything that goes on is something that I haven't seen in cartoons in a long time.

I think in a way UG works better than Screwy. I like the Screwy shorts, but Screwy was too much of a dick for it to be sustainable, I think. I feel like if Screwy had lasted longer you'd get the same attitude toward him as you get toward the later Tom & Jerry stuff. I get thinking UG is obnoxious, but it never feels mean.
I feel like people hate it because it doesn't have quirky humor or lore. Usually even the crappy jokes in cartoons make me at least chuckle, but this was just unfunny as hell.
It's basically a show that tries to be something like the Looney Toons and the old 40s cartoons.
Unfortunately the jokes aren't funny and the stiff flash animation doesn't work at all in a format that's supposed to have tons of life to it.
