ITT: cartoons that are literally flawless
>>
I'm afraid to rewatch it.
I still haven't recovered from rewatching Rocket Power.
>>
This show holds up. Rocket Power was always shitty.
>>
>>77579761
Which came first, Plank or Stump? Also the title sounds like a wet vagina pun now.
>>
>>77580936
Stump.
>>77579774
>>77580887
I have the whole series on DVD and it's still gold. Even better now actually since I can get all of the jokes and references.
>>
call me a spoothead but it gets a LITTLE boring once in a while. still a fantastic show.
>>
its a solid show but not that creative when comes to the jokes or settings.
>>
>>77582222
Eh I thought ir was pretty tried and true slapstick. Plus of course the dialogue is great in itself.
>>

Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law.

>yfw how based Nick Bakay and Richard Steven Horvitz are
>>
>>77584191
kudos to them for picking animals with slappy little webbed hands so the slapping always felt good
even if they were drawn like those weird things on the sides of garfield's head
>>
Always felt like Nick's version of EEnE to me, although I sincerely doubt that they had any influence on each other. Something about over-the-top slapstick where they fully utilize the cartoon as a medium just works.

It was a little more rough around the edges than EEnE, but really great regardless. It's a shame that it's so overlooked these day.
>>
>>77584191
As I kid, I think Norbert's speech mannerisms were my favorite part. I've seen a few episodes recently and that might still be true. I DO get a lot more of the jokes now, though.
>>
>>77579761
Without even remembering Angry Beavers (which sounds like euphemism for pmsing women), I can tell you it wasn't flawless - such thing doesn't exist
>>
Recess
Freakazoid
Hey Arnold
Ed Edd n' Eddy
>>
>>77584650
>Recess
/co/ believes it's overrated but whenever I catch a re-run I can't help to be impressed by the writing.
>>
>my brother and I still call our younger sister Spoot even though she's in her 20s now
great show

>>

you're asking the wrong questions.
what inquiring minds REALLY want to know: is Plank Stump?
>>
>>77585925
Do you remember when the squid totally beefed it, anon?
>>
>>77587014
He totally beefed it.
>>
>>77584650
I don't remember Frekazoid, but the others were really good. That Episode of Recess where TJ goes to school and trading cards have taken over was gold.

pic unrelated.

I'M GONNA BOP YOU INTO NEXT WEEK
>>
>>77582222
I haven't seen anything else like bopping someone into next week, or the way they pulled an all nighter into the future.
>>
>>77584247
It's funny how they look like their characters, or used to, because one is blonde and the other is brunette

That blew my mind when I saw a BTS bit
>>
>>77585386
I personally feel Rocket Power aged better than most Klasky Csupo shows due to irony of its 90's Xtreme sports nature ending up creating what could be seen as an AU where such sports never went out of style

It helps that it's one of the few shows that actually has reasonable adults.

Raymundo is one of the better parent characters. The only goofy trait I can remember is that he's deadly afraid of poodle dogs.

MY SIDES
>>
>>77585386
rocket power isn't bad when you realize Otto is a little shit and the really MC is Sam.
>>
>>77588307

It was bopping into last week. I think it was a Groundhog Day reference. A lot of the stuff they did were parodies of sci-fi movies.
>>
>>77579761

It has a flaw: why are they called angry?, there's not explanation to that.
>>
>>77579761
>MY ANKLE
>MY OTHER ANKLE
>BOTHER MY ANKLES
>why don't we just cut the darn things off

that's not even the weirdest phobia I've ever heard of.

Wasn't that during the episode when they get filmed and idiot beavers?

Seriously this show has been popping into my head at least once a month, and for some reason, as soon as I'm done remembering it fondly, this subject immediately pops into my head.
