Set-up for Marcy's decision to give up her powers felt a bit sloppy, but going into her backstory with the human colonies was good. Did a good job setting up the vampires coming back and the story in general.

Whole post is good, but this is the most important sentence. I feel really sad about how casually they get killed. But then again, it would be difficult to do it otherwise while also putting in humour, teasing and adventure in under 11 minutes.

Also, it makes the general fandom ponder what those points are going to lead to thereby maintaining an interest in the show.
