How is this show so fucking good.
Its not that good, it just has a lot of little cool moments and does some ridiculous things. The majority of it is really dull and boring.

Pretty much every scene, except for the rare short ones like in OP's pic, are soooooo fucking dumb. Every fucking scene has at least five inexplicably retarded plot holes in it. Horrible writing, horrible acting, horrible direction, completely lackluster cinematography. It's garbage.
I wouldn't even bother posting this but I was in the middle of ranting to my friend about this show after we both just watched it and saw the thread. Barry sucks. He's a whiny pathetic weakling who needs a pep talk every 5 minutes. His father sucks. Where's Jay? Just kicking around Central City? It could be where things really started picking up, or it could be more of the same. I think the episode after it is more of a contender for the base-line quality.
I know /co/hivemind would disagree but I haven't found Supergirl outright terrible so far. Far from perfect, not really anything great but it's been kind of fun for what it is. You can't really judge a show based on it's first few episodes. Nearly every show starts picking up in the 10s and then has a really strong second season, a weaker third, and then a return to basics for the fourth.
Very few non-procedural shows don't follow this pattern.

It felt necessary to realistically get Barry healed and cured of his ptsd so he can go fast again. Zoom doom last week was brutal, and Barry can't exactly walk off a severed spine. I still liked it though.
