You know, I kinda wished there was an AU where the military did just get all the tech that the heroes try to keep away. Like say, the guy who created the Super Soldier Serum didn't die, and they were able to mass produce it for WWII, they got the Iron Man tech and all that, and just see super armies of the world go at it.
