It was pretty popular. I'd say about where Wander is now, universally liked, but not over the top fandom.
I remember people pitching crossover ideas for Flapjack, chowder, and Adventure Time, which had just started its first season. Kinda surreal, now.

Season one was the best season by far but I don't think the show got really terrible until about halfway through season 3. That's when you could tell that they weren't even trying anymore.
