Island doesn't feel like a magazine even though they keep calling it that. 8house should have been a part of Island, like it's own little genderqueer Cursed Earth. I like 8House as a replacement for Prophet, but it doesn't seem like it's becoming that just going by solicts. 8House seems to be really aimless too.
And Island seemed like it was always doomed... I don't mind a concept like Island. Really, I love it. It's what the industry needs. An anthology of multiple stories. What I do hate is how a subsequent issue won't continue a previous issue's story. Why do I have to wait 3 months for the next, small part of a story I want to read? It feels like such a huge hurdle.
