Belucci will be great for Xanadu.
So will Farrell IMO. Him for John is the same casting theory as RDJ for Stark. He's boozed, and gotten high on everything, and has seemingly been exiled from the Hollywood system. TD2 was his most notable role is so many years, and even his lesser ones, all he played was a down on his luck joe who has substance problems, unable to do the right thing, and honestly, he does it well. That isn't exactly John, but it's close enough where you let Farrell play it the same way except the guy doesn't pity himself, and instead has a chip on his shoulder and gives no fucks about what people think about him because at the end of the day he can fuck over anyone who looks at him the wrong way, then dump him into a pack of other characters who can hold their own against him, and I think we'll be in for a treat. I never would have though Colin Farrell, but I can totally see it, and Perlman and MacGregor will be great for their roles. My excitement for this project just came back to life enormously.
