Funny thing is, The Boss makes more sense as a pregnant active combatant than Spider-Woman, what with being a soldier who was willing to kill/use guns and having a few nearly-superhuman traits. Much easier to keep your unborn child safe if you're fighting at range/from behind cover, and if you're willing to kill any threats rather than punching them and hoping they don't get back up. Plus, she had an entire squad of superhuman soldiers with crazy powers at her side, including a powerful psychic, an insect-controlling soldier, a half-plant-man sniper, a pyromaniac astronaut and a stealthy lizard-man, all of whom were able to protect her and greatly reduce her chances of getting hurt.
And even with all that power, luck and support, she still fucked up, got distracted due to the pregnancy and had the side of her brain get grazed by a bullet, putting her in a coma that she and the kid only survived by sheer luck. If someone that overpowered with that much manpower at her side still almost loses her unborn child by fighting while pregnant, Spider-Woman realistically should have lost the kid and had an emotional scene about it already, but alas she doesn't because of plot contrivances.

He brings up a good point though, The Boss was willing to completely neutralise threats and wasn't fighting superhumans or in close combat, Jess may be a superhuman but she's also going up against superhuman threats AND in close combat which is THE LAST place you wanna be with an unborn child.
The Boss also had her whole support crew of magic niggas.
The only satisfying conclusion this story can possibly have is if Jessica gives birth to a bunch of qt half-spider girls who use their abominable powers to help their mommy fight crime.
Sadly that won't happen because status quo will somehow interfere.
