>ITT: cartoons forgotten by time

Evolution: The Animated Series was based on the underrated 2001 sci-fi comedy film Evolution.

For a while, during the 90s to early 2000s, it seriously seemed like a massive amount of movies (even if they wasn't successful) had a cartoon series to go along with it.

Your turn.

I have never heard ANYONE mention the existence of the Jumanji animated series. It surprisingly lasted 3 seasons.

Besides the ugly Klasky-Csupo style, I remember really liking it.
>>
>>77512894
I remember the blonde guy had a different mutation each episode, and the monsters turned to starfish when defeated
>>

>ugly Klasky-Csupo style
That's not a Klasky-Csupo show, Everett Peck just designed the characters

move along with your shit taste
>>
I had a weird dream that there was an Austin Powers cartoon in that style. It was set during his adventures in the 60s fighting Dr. Evil.

A running gag was for something bad to almost happen to John Lennon every episode. He'd momentarily get caught up in the adventure somehow, survive it and then say "at least it can't get any worse than that" in a thick Liverpool accent.
>>
>>77512849
No, no I never forgot that show. It gave me every single one of my transformation and non-human fetishes.
I never forgot.
>>
>>77512954

What was the plot of this? The movie wrapped everything up.
>>
I remember watching this before school every day at like 7am.

The villain was a monkey that used his own BRAIN AND SPINAL CORD AS A PROJECTILE WEAPON.
>>
>>77512935
For some reason, I remember the EXACT scene.

There is a guy with a periodic table tattooed on his back. Someone puts their fingers on Carbon, then Arsenic.
"If we, Carbon-based life forms are killed by Arsenic, then..." (the person moves their fingers on Silicon and another bullshit element at the same distance as Arsenic was from Carbon)
"These Silicon-based life forms, must be killed by... THIS ELEMENT!"
"Hey, this hair product is full of that!"

And then they go and kill the creature.
>>
>>77512935
They were killed by hair and shoulders body wash
>>
>>77512994
>That spoiler

That's fucking amazing.
>>
>>77512994

Funny you say that: HBO was gonna have an Austin Powers cartoon back in 1999 or 2000.

Never got off the ground, sadly.

>>77512849

With good reason.
That's from the rotting era of DIC.

They were also responsible for the equally poorly conceptualized "Stargate Infinity" cartoon. Which had zero fucks to do with the original context.

They tried to do toyetic action cartoons without any actual violence and "Burger King Kids" character designs.
>>
>>77513036

Much like Betlejuice the movie and the cartoon were only half-related. In the Jumanji cartoon the Robin Williams character was still trapped in the jungle inside the board, and he went on adventures with the kids trying to finish the game or find a way out.

>>
There was a show in the 80's that I barely remember. Can't even remember the name. What I do remember is that it took place in the future, and was about a group of high school teens. I think the premise is that they were taking part in a tour of some factory or something, and all of them ended up falling into some kind of pink ooze that transformed them. The only one whose powers I can remember is the jock who gained the ability to shoot his head off like a rocket. I think they also had a monkey or something that also got changed.

He's a Robot, and a Cop. Those are like a 5 year old boy's two favorite things in the world mixed together, the third thing being cars.
No duh they'd wanna sell it to kids.

Also being rated "R" gave the movie proper a nice mystique.
>>
http://www.imdb.com/list/ls001849257/

I had no idea some of these existed. TV really scraped the bottom of the barrel back then. I mean, they still do now, but it's just not as weird. We don't have cartoons based on random forgettable movies like Problem Child.
>>
>>77516031

>Xtreme Dinosaurs was clearly begging for a crossover with Street Sharks.

It got one, though it completely rewrote the origins of the Xtreme Dinosaurs.

Robocop is like Predator. The perfect age to first watch it is when you're at least 5 years too young for it to be appropriate.
>>
>>77516368

>Brendan Frasier was at one point in his career too important to do the voice work for the tie-in cartoon based on his biggest franchise role

I don't want to post that fucking picture but it is so terribly appropriate.

Yeah it holds up. It's weird how effective taking the formula from Quinn Martin crime dramas and dropping it into middle school turned out to be. It's about as out there as TaleSpin which was also way better than its origins would suggest.

The showrunner/head writer has been holding it down on Walking Dead for the past few seasons. Maybe it'll turn into a stealth Fillmore reboot.

There was this show called "Maximum Payne" or somthing, one of the villains was in a constant state of pain because of his skin or somthing and everyone had these gimmicky vehicles. And for the life of me I can't find one single detail about it because of the videogame taking up all the search results.

There was also this other show about a demonic resort/ theme park that this family moved to that never finished its first season because the production company got closed down because of corruption or somthing. I can't find info on either of these things.
