Thor was hyped, but only in comparison to useless pieces of shit who couldn't even make an effective bomb with hundreds of years. I ordered the hardcover version on Amazon.
This for Doom Patrol, especially the Dada arcs. It helps that DP has a grand total of 3 runs which aren't shit, it's hard to find a definying run for characters with a long publication history and more writers.
Hell, sometimes it's hard even for those who barely have anything, for example I adore Animal Man but I find both the Morrison run and Lemire's take on him to be equally important and valid. On yet another, Green Arrow had many writers but I only consider O'Neil's runs to be definying, mostly because they gave Ollie the most unique poistion in the DC universe (not to mention that prior to Arrow, most adaptations were largely based on his work)

Moore Swamp Thing.
Morrison Animal Man.
I don't mean to limit these characters, but all of those writers absolutely perfected their depictions of them and everything since has been derivative of that or a weird side experiment.
There are many years writers that have defined characters for certain generations or hugely influenced their futures, but few have had such a profound and lasting effect as these ones.
Bill Finger and Jerry Siegel can be considered as well for their respective characters that they basically defined over the years in the Silver Age but it's not really fair when they for all intents and purposes created them.
