Why do there have to be so many good comics that I have to skip some? I'm trying not to pick up anything else this year except Suicide Squad vol 2, Copra round 3, and Church and State Remastered
>>
>>77467114
When is Church & State supposed to come out? December?

My white whale was the Euro Humanoids remaster of Incal. The thing was so massive that no bookshelf could hold it.

I ended up selling it for $500 since I figured there would be a reprint down the line and I was leaving the country anyways.

Other than that? Mostly signatures making things valuable; Millar signed Martha Washington hc, Gaiman signed Sandman, custom bound Shade omnibus, etc. A few OOP omniboo: complete Bendis/Bru DD, all three Tomb of Dracula, etc. I think my Usagi Yojimbo omnibus was rare but they reprinted it a year or two ago? Not sure whether it's the same version. I picked up a Simonson Thor omnibus in Hokkaido for $30 which was a nice profit.

My floppy collection is a little more insane, this was a few months before I moved to Japan so I think there were 2-3 more longboxes I picked up before then.
>>
>>77467799
> they reprinted it a year or two ago
If you mean the original Fanta stuff that came out last month
>>
>>77467861
Damn, that sucks (for me, great for everyone else since it's an amazing series). Wish I had flipped it before then.
>>
>>77467902
You might still be able too, the reprint is two paperback volumes in a slipcase. I'm sure someone online will pay way more for the hardcover collection

I'm interested to see what happens to prices when Fanta reprints Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck
>>
>>77468002
Probably. I remember being a bit disappointed when my Strangers in Paradise omnibus was just two tpbs in a slipcase. I was always terrified of the binding.

I haven't checked to see how Marvelman's floppy prices have changed since the reprints started coming out. I have a complete mint run that was my holy grail for the longest time, then Marvel acquired the rights less than a year later. Can't stand the recoloring though, so eh.

I've been collecting Akira #38's in Japan for $1, I can't wait to get home and slowly flood the market. Figure at least that will never get a reprint.
>>
>>77468282
Yeah I can't image a Western publisher will ever print Manga in standard floppies like the 80's and early 90's. Kind of a shame because it's a great way to see some fantastic art at a size larger than those digests

I have all 6 issues of Dominon by Masamune Shirow, I need to track down Appelseed

I've been collecting all of GL + GL Corps from the Johns era. The only thing I'm missing until the final omni comes out is GL Corps: The Dark Side of Green. It's not really that rare for a white whale, but the price is still higher than I really care to pay since it doesn't collect great stories. But the hole in my collection is glaring.

With Christmas around the corner I'm trying to decide what I should ask for. It's hard to decide if I should ask for things I'd probably buy for myself anyway or use the opportunity to ask for things I want but am less inclined to spend my own money on. I guess that's why the pirate before buying model exists.

I've got a bunch of other random vol 1's that aren't on the shelves. Mostly image/vertigo. Also random other TPB's are out with friends. My shelves never stay in just one configuration for too long.

These arrived this week -

>The Amazing Screw-On Head
Hardcover - amazing book, but the cover itself has a dint in the top right corner, and seems to be a little scuffed and I bought new, so I'm not best pleased with Book Depository.

>Chrononauts
Received as part of the time-travelers Z-box (along with some Tardis socks and a Marty McFly Funko). Sort of a lightweight TPB cover, but it was a fun little read about two guys thoroughly dicking with history.

>Through The Woods
Hardback, and bought used - the only available option for a HB in the UK - although it's pristine as far as I can tell. Brilliant cover - the dust jacket has the tree branches embossed into the paper, and it looks great. Inside gets better - some genuinely creepy tales, perfect for reading in a cabin alone in the woods.

I do love me some Mignola, but Through the Woods is definitely my pick of my recent buys. Thoroughly recommended.

To those with the JSA omnibi, what are the dimensions of all three of them side-by-side like in >>77465039? Like, from the back cover of Vol. 1 to the front of vol. 3

Also, what're the dimensions on the Doom Patrol omni?

Hello cartoonfag how new to comics are you?
>>
>>77522011
those hardcovers suck don't do it. there's no reason to spend that when you could get TPB's that are the exact same size and material for 50-70 total. Those Precher HCs are crappy.
>>
>>77530763
never seen that show

however the rick and morty comic was cool because everything read in their voices

i still can't figure out if the writing is good or in their voices, but everything seems to flow like it is...
>>
>>77533949
Couldn't tell you for Doom Patrol, though the Amazon page might list them. But the JSAs side by side are a couple hairs over eight and a half inches, or 22 cm exactly.

Literally includes the entirety of the other Squadron Supreme omni.
>>
>>77536258
Holy shit, it was there earlier today.

I feel like it'll come back though. Dark Horse isn't bad at keeping their stuff in print.
>>
>>77536531
When that omni is one of Marvel's 10 shortest, that's pretty easy.
>>
>>77523639
Welp, I was thinking of just getting the original series omni, but this sounds like something I want to read.

>Fuck sake Marvel, really? Squadron Supreme is nearly twice that for the same price.

yeah theyve been doing that alot lately, instead of just releasing a oversized hardcover volume 2 for Fraction Hawkeye they made an omni thats only 600 pages and 120 bucks , then are releasing a regular sized vol 2 hardcover so anyone who doesnt buy the omni has a mismatching set.

bunch of moneygrubbing kike bastards.

>HC Vol. 2, Hawkeye 12-22, Annual 1

There's also a whole bunch of Omnis with more pages that only cost $75, but yeah, Marvel's just overcharging for the casuals that don't know any better.
