eBegging thread. Is it even worth it? Webcomics try it and their product is late or evaporates before our eyes. Animation tries it and we get things like Bee and Puppycat.
I definitely prefer Patreon. That way if they start going back on what they've promised their funding gets pulled.

It's not perfect but at least it's better than 1 dude working day and night then getting shafted.
1 dude not getting paid $3000 bucks after almost working himself to death animating sounds worse than 3000 dudes out $1 each for an animator to produce subpar shit.

>Is it even worth it
It's literally free to beg
the only thing you'd be wasting is your time
which is what you'd be doing anyway
does anyone have that list of webcomic patreons

it also brought us the reward and swat cats revival (though way to early o tell if it's good or not)
is it worth it? well that's up to you
Do you like this persons work
Do they release on a schedule you're comfortable with?
Do you like the physical rewards (if any)?
do you have extra money that you would like to put it towards.
Ask yourself who they are, what they've done and do you care for the project.

What about one dude who gets one million to make a game based off his web comic only to mismanage it and trust a gaming studio that ends up taking his money and runs and now he has to figure out what the fuck to do about his Kickstarter.

Sounds like bad management.
Business isn't for everyone, it's a rather tough game.
