it's pretty much completely different story-wise, and the only characters it shares are Allison and Oscar, but some bits of the lore seem to be the same. He definitely had some of the ideas for the final comic at the time when he was making it.

Am I correct in guessing that a devil's gender is based on the mask they wear? Pallid, Crimson, Verdant, and Ebon being male, Blue and Gilded being female? The only exception to this that I've found is Preem Nand, and he seems like somewhat of a special case. I may have missed some though, I didn't look TOO terribly hard.

I don't think gender has anything to do with the mask. This is actually even assuming devils have anything like male and female, and aren't monogendered like angelsbut not reallybut take on certain forms based on their body.
That said in the descriptions of the devils under the first few pages of this chapter blue devils are specifically gendered as female while all the other devils are gendered as male. And the definite male blue devil in an earlier chapter was apparently an error, and the imps in this chapter are somewhat ambiguous (although I am literally just assuming the ones without titties are dudes, which doesn't seem all that ambiguous really).

this post describes what happened here perfectly this Wednesday. the day of the patch
"Same problem, started at 2am EDT on 12/11. I have Windows 7 and am enrolled in auto update. When Windows boots up the screen begins to flash like a strobe light. Nothing worked. Could not start in safe mode by hitting F8. Called MS support - they told me they were working on it and to call back later. Called MS support back this morning and the tech fixed my system, at no charge. I don't know how he did it, but assume that he assessed my PC remotely. Everything is now back to normal. "

Man i couldn't handle linux. We had to fiddle around with blueberry Pi's and create radio shows on them I don't see why anyone who isn't a hardcore geek would want linux.

and I supposed you could argue that graphics will never ever become prettier than the ones created for free by the userbase that mods stalker games, specially when moneycorps create messes like these.
I just hate the fact that windows is leaving me behind and so are all the big vidya corps that fondle the microshaft. Like sony keeps videogames hostage so people can buy a bloodborne machine, microsoft will do the same with all these creators.
