The Inhumans were major characters in Heroes Reborn: Fantastic Four. And yes, there were inhumans in the 90s. Their most popular series came out in the 90s for fucks sake.
>>
>>77439707
That's '01, family.
>>
>>77439707
why then there is no homage to that series?
also it was a maxi-series, not ongoing series
>>

I really like this one.
>>
>>77439763
No it isn't. It came out in 98 and ended in 99.
>>
>>77439759

>>77439788

>>
>>77439766
You never specified ongoing series. You just said series. They did, in fact, have a series in the 90s.

As for why, because that cover doesn't evoke the 90s aesthetic. Nothing says 90s quite like Heroes Reborn on the other hand.
>>
>>77439166
>Whilce Portacio

Holy shit, his Iron Man art was the only good thing about Heroes Reborn and here he is drawing my favourite suit of Iron Man armour.
>>
>>77439807
It still doesn't count. They didn't have an ongoing.
I would rather have FF 90s variant, given that inhumans were their supporting cast for 5 decades

How does 1998 not count as "The 90s." Last I checked, the 90s meant 1990-1999. If someone was born in 98, does that mean they were actually born in the 00s?
>>
>>77439781
It's true, I fucked up, checked the date on the collected volume.
>>
>>77439852
being published in the 90s doesn't mean it belongs to The 90s
More like>>77439807 said
>>
>>77439874
You never said "they never had a series that evoked the 90s aesthetic" you said they never had a series IN the 90s. They absolutely did. Keep on moving those goalposts though.
>>
>>77439901
Keep being anal-retentive. Inhumans didn't have SERIES in the 90s. MINI-SERIES it's not SERIES, it's MINI
>>
>>77439936
A limited series is still a series. That's why it's called a limited SERIES. If you want to get pedantic, it wasn't a mini-series either. A mini-series has to be under 10 issues, while Lee/Jenkins' Inhumans was 12 issues.
>>
>>77439973
A limited series can count as special.
12 issues are usually called as maxi-series.
Also, every other variant covers either series, or iconic character's costume from that era. Inhumans variant has neither, and they had to put Iron Man to make it obvious that it's "90s", because otherwise no one would know.
>>
>>77439936
Series just means it's multiple consecutive issues as opposed to a graphic novel or one-shot. As long as it's more than one issue, it's a series. A maxi-series is a series. An ongoing series is a series. A mini-series is a series. A limited series is a series. That's why they all have "series" in their classifications.
>>
>>77440008
And the fact that they made a variant for alternative dimension rather than 616... Well, that is hilarious. I'm sad for no FF variant.
>>
>>77440027
Have a cookie. It doesn't change the fact that inhumans don't deserve a variant
>>
>>77440008
>every other variant covers either series, or iconic character's costume from that era
Drax didn't have a series in the 90s and the costume he's wearing on the cover of his variant is the same one he'd had since the 70s.
>>
>>77440027
>All this fuss over one word.
Boy, it's nice to see people caring.
>>
>>77440074
Oh, you're right. I change my opinion. Neither Inhumans nor Drax deserve a variant.

>>
>90s is now retro/throwback
>>
Well yeah, retro/throwbacks tend to be to 20 years prior. In the 00s, it was the 80s. In the 90s it was the 70s.
>>
>>77439397
He's gotten better at drawing, but he still doesn't believe in fucking erasers.

I'm POSITIVE the reason Liefeld is so shit is because once he draws a line down he refuses to erase it even if it's totally fucked up.
>>
>>77439608
They're kinda like the New Gods other than Darkseid, Orion, Mr. Miracle, Big Barda and Metron. Though I guess Orion is kinda like Black Bolt.

They don't show up very often so they don't get revamped. If you're gonna use them, the nostalgia is important.
>>

Most of the stuff really isn't from 1992.

Daredevil got his armor in like late 1993.
Maximum Carnage was like spring or summer 1993.
Clone Saga started in 1994.
Wolverine with no nose was like 1996.
Iron Man got his modular armor in 1993 and Force Works formed in 1994.
Heroes Reborn was 1996.
Eric Masterson became Thunderstrike in 1993, I think. He was still Thor in the early 90's.

If it were just limited to stuff from 1992 then it'd be like Jim Lee/Scott Lobdell era, 1st appearance of Carnage, Revenge of the Sinister Six, 30th anniversary of Spider-Man, launch of Marvel 2099, Infinity War. '92 Iron Man would be wearing the Neoclassic armor (or whatever that Post-Centurion armor was called) or it'd be War Machine.
