I think they just made an artistic decision to not show her face, because ultimately it isn't very effective once you've looked at it for more than a moment, I wish I could erase my memory of this art because, much like, say, the Blair Witch, it's a helluva lot scarier when you DON'T really know what she looks like. Terry and Max's reactions made me imagine something much, much worse than kinda generic mummy/Skeletor lady.
