If he's sold 5 books during launch week when we're entering prime season for Christmas shopping, it's looking bleak. The sales will slow down from here unless his reader base grows. Even if he did miraculously keep selling, say, 3 guaranteed books every week it'd take over a year to reach 160.
From my experience when a book sells that poorly at the start it won't take long until the writer is lucky to score one sale a week unless they're actively marketing to new potential customers. He's clearly exhaused most of his twitter and Tumblr audiences for sales, where can he turn to next?

Josh Lesnick is many things, but I wouldn't go as far as to call him an asshole.
Lesnick is the result of what happens when you immerse yourself in a toxic social circle for years where the participants give it's members more acknowledgement and recognition for ripping into other artist's work for whichever arbitrary reason of the week they find most amusing rather than encourage themselves to produce more and better quality original content.
Instead of placing value in their best works, they instead elevate those that come up with the snarkiest, bitterest slam on that which they don't like.
Perhaps he's a lesson on why doing something more constructive with your time and energy in the long run is more rewarding than bitching about shit you don't like...
I don't think he's an asshole. I do think he should have spent more time studying his craft and learning how to draw rather than crutch on "MUH CARTOONY STYLE". He might have gotten away with it however, had he shut his fucking mouth and had enough sense to be humble and glad for the fans that appreciated his work for what it is. Instead he allowed his hugbox circle to convince him he was invincible-- and worse still, that his opinions had value.
