Anyway, it's not surprising, PG-13 rated movies appeal to a larger audience.
Not surprising, R rated movies often have a smaller viewer turnout. Just look at Dredd. But really its no big deal seeing the stuff you can get away with now with PG-13

It'll be fine and make more money as a PG-13. I tend to like line-toting PG-13 movies better than R movies. Dark Knight was PG-13 and it had eyeball-pencilling, throat-slashing, Glasgow-smiling Joker in it. Implied violence, where it isn't really seen, tends to be more effective since you let your imagination. Seeing (often poor) actual depictions in movies tends to make me laugh more than anything.
