Moana's artstyle isn't as nice as I thought it would be. Finding Dory just looks like it's capitalizing on memory gags too hard and you can see it's going to be about her realizing Merlin and Nemo were her real family all along. Pete's Dragon is just. Why? Is it even going to be a musical?

Zootopia looks like a kids version of a cop drama. Looks like fun.

Why would anyone expect that? The live action blend of the original was most of the point.

The real question is, what kind of animation are they going to mix with the live action? Hand-drawn 2D style (unlikely), cartoon-y CGI dragon, or realistically-rendered Hobbit style CGI dragon?

you know monsters university was actually pretty good but I'm still not really looking forward to finding dory, mainly because it appears to be about dory doing what? going to california? I don't get what they can possibly do without the whole strong "finding my son" backbone of finding nemo.

Moana's concept is so far from appealing to me and pete's dragon, do I need to explain really?

By process of elimination I think it has to be zootopia.
>>

Honestly, none of them. I didn't enjoy Inside Out, Frozen, Big Hero 6, or Monsters University that much. They were good but not great. The last Disney movie I think that was great was Tangled.

I'm most interested in Moana I guess.
>>
Zootopia is too furry.
Moana is too girly.
Pete's Dragon is too kiddy.
Finding Dory is too sequelly.

Seriously, though, Zootopia looks be the funniest and most entertaining, while Moana should have quality music and animation. Finding Dory cannot live up to nostalgia, and I really don't care about Pete's Dragon.

Lets look at the last 2 films of the writers and directors

Written By: Taika Waititi: What we do in the shadows and and Boy

Based on that, what can we guess this movie will be like

Directed and Written by Ron Clements and John Musker: Treasure Planet and the Princess and the Frog
>>
Finding Dory does not interest me on a fundamental level (I disliked Dory). And we don't know enough about the other two. So I guess Zootopia, but I'm not particularly looking forward to generic cop drama heavy on the racism allegories and animal puns.

I'm voting Moana. A little early and I hate how they've presented what little they have so far (but that's marketing for you), but it's got a great setting with a lot of really nice colors in the concept art. I'm getting a Brother Bear vibe from it, which may sound like a bad thing, but that movie was almost something quite great if not for some glaring mistakes and Phil Collins standing in its way.

It's one thing to have "zany" cartoon animal characters in cartoons, especially the older or stranger ones like Ren & Stimpy or whatever. Zootopia is another thing entirely. Zootopia is a studio blatantly making a movie about furries, for furries, and quite possibly by furries; the plot and everything else is just forgettable garnish around a cast of characters designed to rile up as much perverted lust or weird otherkin body escapism or "So CUTE d'aaAAW" as possible.

Your degenerate internet society is responsible for the imminent release of pandering cartoon fetish fuel as a blockbuster family movie, because you couldn't keep your disgusting private kinks to yourselves like normal people. Zootopia will probably be commercially successful because the furries' boners will overcome any shriveled mote of sense they have left to perceive that it will be an utterly mediocre piece of trash (not to say that the alternatives in the OP are better), and thence the new dark age of pandering to obsessive and autistic internet pornography fandoms will accelerate.

I think pople find Zootopia the most interesting movie because Nick and Judy have an interesting conflict between them. Nothing that hasn't been done before but to me atleast a pair consisting of a con-artist and a girl whose dream is to be a cop in a world where apparently bunnies usually aren't cops, sounds like an interesting premise enough.

I loved Aladdin and it sort of has that chemistry going on between the characters -- a thief with a heart of gold and a smart and rebellious princess. Same goes for Tangled in a lot of ways.

I don't think any of the Disney movies ever had a ground breaking synopsis. They've always taken whatever already works and then they sugar-coat it with pretty animation and humor and what they call the Disney magic.

Point is I trust all of these movies are probably ok. I'd personally only want to see Zootopia and Moana, and so far Zootopia seems to have the kind of stuff I can trust Disney to execute well enough for it to work. Tangled, Frozen and BH6 well all great, why not this?
>>
>>77427729
Is Elliot the dragon? If so, then yes.

The idea that there was a huge invisible monster that only one boy can see scared the shit out of me.
I didn't even see the whole movie, just clips on Disney: Scene It and that was enough to scare me for life.
And yes, Who Framed Roger Rabbit scares me too.

Some of the other characters see him too, but he just has the ability to turn invisible whenever he wants, which is most of the time.

Finding Dory seems to be a jerk off result of the weird Finding Nemo obsession every teen girl had in 2011-2012. I don't count on it being good it'll most likely be nostalgia porn with too many references to Dory's one liners from the first movie.
