She is? I've watched the show all the way through and she just seems constantly sucked into Reddington's schemes. A lot of writers do that, it's their idea of how to express the moral ambiguity of a situation.
Reddington himself is a good example of that, he's an internationally wanted criminal who gets away with literally fucking everything because he's basically Superman or something. Always has a plan, a contact, a strategy, he's formidable at fighting and gunplay etc etc. Next to him, nobody really seems as competent.
I mean, the few episodes of Season 3 alone establish Liz would be rekt by every enemy she has (which is a whole bunch right now) if it weren't for Reddington constantly watching out for her.

That's impossible for several reasons. The primary reason is clear: Superman still exists in this universe.
He's ALWAYS going to be hanging over her head. If he's not around, we'll be asking "why isn't he here for his cousin?", if he shows up, it'll be a deus ex machina, just like this week's episode. There's no way to make it work. They should never have included Superman at all, and I say this as one of the biggest Superman fanboys. If you're making a Supergirl show, make it about Supergirl.
