>We're the very best at being bad guys...

The second arc is almost over.
Future and the gang are in real deep.
The Crossed are on a gigantic warpath.
And nothing can seem to stop them...

This is-
Crossed +101 #10 & #11: Remnants
>>
And here we go...
Two things - no one did 10 before, so that's why I'm doing it as well.
And...the glossary was lost when moe went down. Sorry.

>>77389154
Wait what? Are you allowed to story time Crossed on /co/? I thought it was /b/ only because of goru
>>
>>77389190
Hey, I've been storytiming Crossed on /co/ for years.
And the only time I've had any trouble is when they started cracking down on it being uncensored.
So I've been censoring ever since.

And it continues.
>>
>>
These rejects are...pretty goddamn weird.
>>
>>
>>
>Aim is Merge

...oh you gotta be kidding me
>>
>>
>>
Ouch.
>>
>>
>>
>>
Yeah, she has zero tolerance anymore.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>77389175
Bottom boobies are the most important term.
>>
>>77389366
Glad you could make it KS.
Did you forget about #10 as well?

I sure did
>>
>>
>>
Large numbers.

That should bode well.
>>
Part 11:
wherein no one can deny it any longer
>>
>>
>>77389215
He got skulled alright.

>>77389384
I rely on you to post the ongoing. Usually you're on top of things.
>>
>>77389440
Very sex, very movie indeed.

And hey, must have been a heavy week.
Won't mess up again though.
>>
Eh, Future's just doing the best she can
>>
>>77389175
Oh, that's why I was surprised then, thanks for the storytime.
>>
Now that was a nice book
>>
>>77389486
No problem.

We're an issue away from the end of the second arc and all I can think is that Spurrier is strong on some aspects, but surprisingly weak in others here
>>
Woah
>>
>>
>>77389384
he was gay right ?
Good, sharia wont allow gays, it was for the better
>>
>>
>>77389535
Yeah.
And well, it's better to die like that than to be around for the violence.

That's the lesson of Jackson
>>
>>
>>77389487
Oklahoma!
>>
>>
>>77389241
>>77389252
To merge eh? Alright then.

I don't like the reused panel, even if Future is qt.
>>
>>77389252
>this level of interaction
shit, I've got a lot to check, last issue I read was +101 #4

Are these all torrented somewhere?
>>
Future's trust issues are a good bit.

>>77389565
Where the wind comes sweepin' down the plain!

>>77389572
Beau Salt wasn't an idiot. He planned for fun, but he's smart.
And yeah, the downgrade in art is the worst aspect of Spurrier's run.

>>77389599
KAT
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
...that's a fair point.
>>
Jesus!
She's like the Mayor from Jaws.

At a certain point something has got to give.
>>
>>77389654
I don't get it.

They're saying the Crosseds aim to turn everyone like them ? It ain't new.
>>
>>77389357
Jesus, friendly fire.

>>77389407
Nice little town you have. It'd be a shame if something were to happen to it.
>>
>>77389684
No, they aim to coexist.
At least, with humans who can work it.
The real point of contention is that I don't think that the Crossed would make it based on equals.
>>
Well, would you?
>>
And that's it for now.

Next Month:
The end of the Second Arc!
Will Spurrier make a landing?
>>
>>77389465
It's unusual for you.

>>77389536
There's something up with this guy.
>>
>>77389784
Well, there was that whole hubbub about "is there gonna be crack down?" - you know how it was.
Best to lay low for a bit.
But we're back in action now.

>There's something up with this guy.
Yeah, maybe he's a non-reject
>>
>>77389610
She has a point. There could be normal looking rejexs, or at least passable like jokemercy.
>>
>>77389832
Non Rejects I think would be those who accept the lifestyle, if not are infected
>>
>>77389706
Of course not. If the Crossed numbers begin to dip. They'll bump up the human donations.

>>77389814
probably, he's ghastly, and he has weird text. He's waay too suspicious.

>>77389845
I imagine so. Well, Salt certainly is the master planner. This is the only way for the Crossed to survive as a race.
>>
>>77390010
And for Non-Rejects...they might actually be really into the idea.

Way too suspicious. Makes me lean toward Red Herring. But, so was Jokemercy.

Salt was ahead of his time, the perfect merge. Maybe another theory for Merge is to make new hims.
>>
and once again Muslims fuck everything.
allah snackbar
>>
>>77390190
To be fair, no one believed Future
>>
>>77390202
go die in a crossed apocalypse, allah snackbar lover.
bitch denied video evidence. denied reports of her own scouts.
pure muslim at its best
>>
>>77390054
I dunno, it's still risky. You'd be living your life on edge, hoping they don't draw your number.

Something's not right with that boy.

But what would their masterpiece be? This is Salt's.
>>
I need to catch up on crossed. last thing i read was Moore
>>
>>77390265
>hoping
What I mean is that, maybe they would want to be infected.

He's not, but let's see. I don't think we'll find out until the third arc anyway.

Live, thrive, and survive. I don't know, "Merge" could be something we never thought of yet.
>>
>>77390275
Moore's story works fine on his own.
I say go read the first two of Spurrier's issues and if they don't catch your interest then you can probably drop it.
>>
>>77390293
Maybe.

I forgot we're getting that.

Maybe more hybrids.
>>
>>77390437
Maybe. We'll figure out when we know exactly what "accepted" means.

And yeah, full on Crossed War. Hype?
>>
>>77389535
Islam got a lot more liberal after the Crossed showed up. Everyone figured given all of the awful shit that happened during it God really wouldn't care if women were in positions of leadership of if people were gay.
>>
>>77390584
>Im'am
It's perfect
>>
>>77390471
Accepted into the masterrace.

Oh yeah. I remember you mentioning that.
>>
>>77390726
Accepted as slaves/stock or accepted as marauders. I mean, even the Rejects commanded authority.

Yup, I think that might be it for the series.3 arcs seems like enough
>>
>>77390751
Perhaps some idolize the humans. Maybe that's why they obeyed the rejects.

I agree. Where do you go after a huge war? It's best to end on a high note.
>>
>>77390848
Spurrier has set up something with potential.
I mean, the most interested thing is maybe a way to phase out the beserkers.

Exactly, it's the end of escalation
>>
>>77390584
Islam doesn't care if women are in charge either. They have a much better track record than we do. I'm too lazy to look it up but very early on a woman got in an argument over doctrine in church (I think it was that women couldn't possibly understand religion, leadership, or something along that line?) and won so there's a passage in the qoran that's basically on X day in the holy mosque important bigshot guy was wrong and random woman was right so let it be known for future generations.
>>
>>77391253
>qoran that's basically on X day in the holy mosque important bigshot guy was wrong and random woman was right so let it be known for future generations.

Truly poetry
>>
FYI it was said in an earlier issue that these people knew that they weren't what today's Muslims would consider part of their religion.

Kinda like how 16th century christian would see today's as true believers.
>>
I assume they want normal humans as a serf or slave race, and/or want to find a way to turn the bulk of humanity into functional, non-selfdestructive Crossed.
>>
>>77392179
>or want to find a way to turn the bulk of humanity into functional, non-selfdestructive Crossed.
Assuming Saltman wasn't really a retard, this should be their endgame
>>
>>77391277
Even better is the bit where the Prophet is strolling with a mate, and when the other guy tells some lady to cover up the Prophet is all "keep your own eyes in fucking check and don't get in her grill, bitch."

That's something to think about.
>>
Anyone read the new badlands? What do you think of this arc so far?
pretty funny ending of the issue, looking forward to the next one, but also looking forward to when this arc is over
>>
>>77394682
Read the first two issues of the current arc.
It's trying to be a comedy...but none of the jokes are funny, and then there's the character who's only purpose seems to be to just mess everything up and be annoying.
Not a fan so far.

Was the latest issue that pretty funny?
>>
>>77393069
How did they even get infected in space.
>>
>>77394737
The one-off variant covers are just like topps cards.
For fun.

But in that cover you can see a vial of the virus that's broken
>>
>>77394704
Nah it was pretty much the same type humor, though it did get a few chuckles out of me this time around
All around a pretty boring arc. I don't really care if any of the characters make it till the end, though that's not really unheard of in crossed comics
Any idea what the arc after this one is gonna be about?

>The one-off variant covers are just like topps cards. For fun.

Crossed is the only Avatar Press series I don't mind having a fuckton of variants every issue.

I guess I'm just an easily amused gorehound.
>>
>>77394895
Ah damn then.
And you're right about the characters, but it's especially in the case of "characters who think the Crossed can be good/fought" that gets on my nerves a bit.

Max Bemis (who did this arc) is doing the next one.
it's love story. I doubt it will be better than the one with the Mobster.
>>
>>77394978
They can be pretty entertaining in how colorful they are.
>>
>>77389204
/trash/ doesn't have global rule #3, you could try posting uncensored content there.
>>
>>77396923
I don't care about the censoring.
Crossed is /co/
>>
>>77389636
Of course, the Christians are written as bigots.
>>
>>77397415
>>
>>77397415
And the Muslims are written as borderline cowardly naive peaceniks. Take the crucifix out of your ass for a second and realize that everyone in this is a shitty person.
