He's talked to Dipper and Ford the most so he's called them a few different things, usually "kid" or "pine tree" for Dipper and Ford is Sixer, six fingers, Fordsy etc.
But it's not like he always uses symbol names, when he first appears he just called Stan "Stan" he doesn't call him "Claw" or "fez" or whatever. He calls Soos "Soos" when possessing Dipper, and maybe that's just because he was possessing someone, I just don't think he's as consistent about using symbol names as fandom likes to make out. In the last episode, when he called Dipper "pine tree" he was talking directly to him so viewers knew who he was talking to, but if Bill and the monsters were always talking about "Shooting Star" when she's offscreen, it would probably be confusing. Bill's eyes in Stan's face don't make sense anymore, honestly. For a while I was sure the story was building up to a sleeper agent or something similar within the Pines family (Stn, Ford, or Dipper), but it wouldn't fit into the narrative's pacing at this point.
By opening the dimensional tear, Bill has surpassed his need to possess humans. He has his own physical form, and it's infinitely more powerful than he could ever be while bound by regular humans' limitations. He has nothing to gain from possessing Stan now.
The only way I could see it happening is if Bill possesses him after his own physical form has been destroyed. I guess I could come up with a few scenarios that would make sense, but I'm not confident they're likely to happen.
Personally, I'm wondering whether Stan won't lose an eye and have to wear an eyepatch for real. It's convenient how the the missing card covers the area a patch would fit in.

Yeah, you have a point. I was thinking specifically of the people who expect a big twist involving possession when I wrote that.
That said, I'm not sure what kind of concrete connection Stan and Bill could have outside a deal, either in the past or in the present. We know Bill was never human, and Stan sure as fuck isn't isn't Bill. And Stan doesn't like the paranormal, so he wouldn't willingly involve himself with Bill either.
At this point, I think it's just as likely the similarities between them are a red herring. But I guess that wouldn't preclude Bill's eyes showing up on the final card.

I'm convinced episode 21 will be the climax of Weirdmageddon, and the credits scene will be an homage to the How's Annie? scene, with the end card showing Bill!Stan. Then episode 22 will be mostly a denouement/epilogue with Bill!Stan as the antagonist.
