Alex Hirsch already confirmed in his twitter that there wasn't going to be an official crossover and that his words were misinterpreted.
Read the actual EW interview with Hirsch, he doesn't confirm shit, he just says that him and Roiland love leaving easter eggs in each other's show and they love messing with the fans.
