What's ugly about it? It's different, sure, and certainly has it's own style to it, but nothing is inherently wrong with it. It certainly doesn't break any more rules of anatomy/reality than any other comic does, and it's without a doubt one of the cleanest works Miller ever put out

Depends what you mean by " good artist" plenty of famous artists are shit storytellers, but the have excellent technical skills and get praised for their big splash pages full of people punching each other. They're great illustrators, but awful comic artists

Yeah, no. I actually get a lot of enjoyment from Miller's art and TDKR is one of my favourite graphic novels of all time but let's not pretend that Frank likes his proportions accurate. Hands and feet swell, heads become boxs and chests look like barrels or walls.
Not that this is bad, it's just not supposed to look like real people.
