There hasn't been a single point where I thought it was even the slightest bit tolerable, and this is coming from a guy who sat through probably the entire show as a kid, so unfortunately I get one hell of a nostalgia kick out of it.

If you searched for Sonic Underground on Amazon, you are probably a fan of the series, but if not, I will briefly summarize: Sonic Underground is a cartoon from 1999 that stars the famed Sonic the Hedgehog from Sega's most popular video game franchise. Sonic Underground introduced many firsts for the Sonic franchise including instruments, Sonic's family members, and an overall darker feel than previous Sonic games and shows.
The newly released Sonic Underground DVD set consists of 20 of the original 40 aired episodes on a 3 DVD set. Also included is a bonus CD including 8 songs from the show. Packed with bonus features ranging from commentary to a music video jukebox, the set is definately a great buy.
Sonic Underground is by far one of the most underrated TV series of all time and just may be the best cartoon ever made in my opinion. If you are a Sonic fan or just looking for a great series to watch, Sonic Underground is for you.

I just don't know why he was so keen to suck the show's DiC. I can understand enjoying it as a kid, but as an adult there's too much of DiC's 'quality' all over the writing to make it enjoyable.
I think my main problem with the show is that everyone is fundamentally unlikable; Sonic is an ass to everyone and flat out bullies Antoine with zero repercussion. Bunnie pretty much does nothing of value for a large part of the second season, same with Tails save the penultimate episode, Antoine is pretty much designed by the writers to just be disliked, Dulcy is pure shit and Sally is a very haphazardly done 'girl power' character. Honestly only Robotnik and Snively are worth watching.

What are you talking about? SaTaM holds up amazingly well to this day. It's a genuine action cartoon that has a shitload of stuff crammed intomevery episode. The villains are menacing, the supporting cast is first-class, and let's not forget how Sonic & Sally are one of the best-written couples ever on TV.
I could go on about this show for hours. Seriously, SaTaM gives a lot of the stuff on TV today, cartoon or not, a run for its money!

I barely watched this when it was airing because at that point, I was growing out of my Sonic the Hedgehog phase; besides, I've never been a fan of musical productions, so the musical interludes always turned me off. But now I want to watch this just to see all the terrible animation errors.
