Also, the ending was rubbish. They all learn the truth about Kat, Coop and Kat come to some sort of peaceful understanding, and then everybody's mind gets wiped and the series starts over with the family first discovering Kat.

GOOD comedy shows tend to burn out after only 2-3 seasons, once they've used up all of the jokes you can safely milk out of the premise without them coming across as tired or mediocre or crap.
The secret of Johnny Test was that the jokes were always tired, mediocre crap, so there was nowhere to go but eternal status quo. It's hard to get worse when you're already at the bottom, and don't aspire to loftier heights.
