GKND would be a brand new project, which would require them to foot the bill for a show which CN's current demographic might not be into. KND parodies a lot of thing in pop culture, from spy novels, to toy-pushing 80s cartoons. I think a lot of the jokes in KND was lost to those who watched it while it aired. At least, personally, I can tell you I appreciated KND a lot mroe now than I did when I was in junior high.
What I'm saying is, I think it would take a lot more than a few hundred thousand signatures to get KND back on TV.

There is a story to tell and be seen to warrant a potential series, hell, even a season or miniseries will be satisfying.
It does seem like Mr. Warburton did pitch the proposal around to have G:KND become an animated series yet was rejected.
Thing is, I don't think Mr. Warburton intended for G:KND to have been an April Fool's Day prank, he wouldn't have gone through the effort justification of reuiniting the old cast and drawing the storyboards.

Kim Possible, Fairly Odd Parents, Futurama, Family Guy, Rugrats, and a couple other shows all got cancelled and brought back due to fan support/high ratings for reruns.
Add Invader Zim (in comic form) and Powerpuff Girls. There's been a decent amount.

CN is bringing back Powerpuff Girls and Courage with new shows because they know they still have an audience. that's why they aired Dance Pantsed and Fog of Courage. it was a test to see if they were still profitable so I think that once Cartoon Network sees the positive reaction these teasers\animatics have gotten they will at least consider making it a full series like PPG and Courage.

This was probably a pitch to show CN people still enjoy KND and want to see a sequel. And judging by the people signing the change.org petition, people still enjoy KND and want to see a sequel.
For a show like KND, which was made in the first place because we, the viewers, voted for the show way back when, it seems fitting that, once again, he comes to the "viewers" to request the show be made again. He/They even may storyboards of the initial concepts, which is basically an early stage pilot. I hope we will do our parts and help this project come to life.

Not really. Although it did end up on April Fool's, I didn't think Warburton was the type.
Even then, nothing explicitly stated "WE WILL NEVER MAKE A G:KND SERIES" but still... damn. I'm still disappointed.
