Anyway, I'm really hyped for this! I love UG and enjoyed Steven Universe (I didn't watch too many episodes of SU but I liked what I saw).
I'm hyped. The episode will probably be fine but the fan reaction and the tears will be the best.
I think the SU crew can make this episode good, but the reactions are going to be greaaaaaaat.

So I marathoned the series, and the second half of season 1 seemed much more wobbly quality-wise. It wasn't as varied in story skeletons (I blame the lesser need to introduce new concepts to the audience), it had pretty poor scheduling at times (I know there were two clear instances of three of the same sort of episode following in a row that irked me) and the continuity became a lot less incidental and interesting and more...reference heavy ("Hey, remember THAT episode?").
I hadn't even noticed things like how often the characters cry in the first half, but the second half's bumps made the show's crutches a lot more obvious. Hope the second season makes things a touch less predictable again. I'd go so far as to say pulling focus back on some "monster of the week" episodes would, ironically, shake things up a bit.
