i think it was originally meant to be aired around Halloween and so was deliberately unsettling (in-episode it's Halloween as well), but fox thought it was too dark or something and didn't air it for a year or two.

What kind of a wuss are you? Just because something makes you feel uncomfortable doesn't mean it isn't worth watching. If you ask me, KoTH was able to take the dark/twisted elements of the real world and manipulate them better than any other animated sitcom to date.

it was definitely an unsettling episode because of how the guy treated her, but i really like the ending with bobby imparting wisdom onto peggy about her insecurities. it's a good message.
which is why the pigman episode is probably the most unsettling because there is no happy ending message, that guy fucking died in the end right after snapping out of his psychosis.
