Thermal-transfer is basically a sticker sticked to the clothing by heat. After you wash it a few times, it starts coming off until it completely peels away.
Silk-screen printing or whatever it's called in English is basically paint applied to the clothing through a special material and then warmed up for a moment. It's basically indestructible and takes less time to mass produce, but it's slightly more expensive. You can still get it cheaper than online stores if you can find a small and decent printing company.
