That's why it's so good though. Besson doesn't give a shit about the story, he just wants gorgeous set design and costuming wrapped around fun characters and weird action scenes.

The style is the substance of that film. Besson knows not to let the narrative get in the way of the filmmaking and the actors. I'm not saying I want every sci-fi movie to be like TFE, but what Besson does with it is still great.

I'm excited for most of what Marvel is putting out, and I'm apprehensive for Green Lantern Corps and Suicide Squad.

Civil War interests me just because I want to see if it manages to be better than the comic version.
I have little hope for WW but she's mah girl so I gotta go see that.
Not sure why they're just giving Cyborg a movie but mite b cool.
Definitely interested in Infinity War.
Hoping Deadpool will be more of a do-what-I-want asshole in Deadpool and Cable.

Might be interested in Spider-Man if they have the right villain.

There's a dozen shitty movies on sci-fi channel that do the exact same thing, Besson just did it on a bigger stage.
I'm all for style, but you need to give me something to actually watch, there's absolutely no reason to think that narratives can only get in the way of filmmaking.

Yeah yeah, marveldrone, whatever. It's not even a console thing, the only movie I wasn't hyped about was Thor 3, but then they went and grabbed my favorite indie/up-and-coming director, so yeah (seriously, Coogler/Watts/Waititi/Gunn/Russos/Reed are a pretty fucking great bunch of directors. Only Derrickson has me wondering). Up until 3 weeks ago I still would've been hype for the whole DCEU
