I just want to say that if Korrasami (while implied was never confirmed to a drastic degree like Game and Watch was when showing up in Pac-Man's reveal trailer for Smash 4) is offcail, it was done pretty terribly The characters had one interaction in the first two seasons, then said they were friends in Season 3 (which was already implied), then they had lines with each other that were not so subtle but still rather ambiguous.
What I'm trying to say is that Varrick and Zhu Li's falling in love was more believable because of the developing interactions between the two as Season 4 went on. Korra and Asami hardly had any genuine banter with one another, and it comes off as forced as having Mako fall in love with Lin or Korra with Bolin (they had some exposition together in Season 1).
The rest of the finale was awesome, but the Korrasami arc is about as fleshed out as Gone Home. Yes, I fucking said it.

Kuvira is not afraid of baseline Korra, even though I would argue that Korra was winning the fight in the cockpit, and she did not stop her shit just because Korra could potentially go into the Avatar State and kill her. From the beginning, she saw that as an acceptable risk, especially since even when she was in the Avatar State, she didn't follow through with killing her the first time.
Kuvira only saw Korra's power when she used energybending to save her; as opposed to letting her die. This is the show telling you that the active good action is more impressive and worthy of awe than the passive bad one, and Kuvira picked up on that because she was supposed to. That is why I said Kuvira was not defeated by fighting or even a show of force.
