I called this WAY back when Felicity kissed Barry... then went on to fall in love with someone else.
She's like some softcore promiscuous character meant to fight against the "if a key opens many locks, it's a good key, but if a lock is opened by many keys, it's a bad lock" analogy.
Either that, or the writers are 100% incompetent and have been writing her back and forth in some chaos-infused script.
Between the writing and the blatantly failing choreography in recent seasons, Arrow is looking like it's just about finished digging its own grave.

I've tried looking for sites that would give a summary of each new episode of Arrow so I don't have to watch it and I'm not confused when Arrow is brought up in Flash or LoT.
I don't even enjoy watching it anymore for the over-arcing plot of the season anymore. I forced myself to watch through season 8 of the X-Files because I just wanted to know what happened to Mulder, but in Arrow all the characters I like have either left, died or just been forgotten.
My only hope is that when Arrow is canceled that the writers of Arrow season 3 and up are fired and not moved to Flash, LoT or any new DC shows.

The last episode was the last straw, I am done with the show. Felicity was a bitch throughout the episode and yet again stopped a villain. I was like well the next episode will at least focus on another character, then the promo came out and the villain is a felicity one, plus it's the one that ruined a flash episode. Poochy needs to be stopped, holy God the last episode was bad, I can only imagine how terrible the next will be. Arrow doesn't even fight crime anymore, Felicity just nags the villains down.

Yesterday's episode was legit good. Don't get me wrong. It's been hit and miss since they introduced Metatron, but even at it's worst, it's still been watchable.
I'm also going to have to disagree on the bloodlust thing. Sure, it's overused, but Supernatural, at least, did it right and had the balls to have Dean massacre an entire family line, kids and all. I blindly hoped my favorite show from 2014 would pick itself up out of this slump, while a bunch shit gargling fucks wrote the new scripts and had it edited on fanfiction.org to end up having a plot not dissimilar from the work i expect written from an 8 year old with a maggot infested head wound.
I sat on my thumbs hoping it would be okay because I genuinely think the lead actor is a pretty cool guy but it's too late for that shit now. If the a sinking ship has a good captain of course he's going to go down with the shit-storm equivalent of the titanic in TV series form. Before season 4 dropped, I could forgive it, because beforehand only 1/3 of the show was bad. But now 1/3 has turned into 50% and there are some absolute dog shit season 1 episodes so it is no longer even a pass to me anymore.
Maybe if i gained half my weight in pure unadulterated body fat, chucked on my sisters clothing and made myself a tumblr account, I would understand this neo-arrow shipping fanbase better.
My final hope and prayer for this show is that Arrow is actually more philosophical than we give it credit and that it is actually a study of what the capeshit genre is becoming to the population who never read comics.

It is weird how the tables have turned. Agents of Shit and Gotham used to be mediocre at best, and Arrow and Flash were GOAT. Now Gotham has been great this season, AoS is still shit, but slightly better than season 2. Thanks to Poochy Arrow is complete dogshit. Flash dropped a bit in quality this season, mainly due to LoT setup and terrible Jay, however, it is still enjoyable comic book fun.

It's honestly bizarre, because even some of Felicity's biggest fans hate her now.
And I think the scariest thing is: the writers ACTUALLY don't know what they're doing. Between the awful flashbacks, the middling main plot, and the boring, soulcrushingly repetitive romance, it seems clear that the Arrow writing room is just dialing it in. I don't think they care about a single thing in this show: the only reason they're latching onto "Olicity" is because it brought them viewers and it's simple to write/direct.

Season 3 was the first time we were fooled. The start to Season 4 promised a different outcome, but now we're fooled again. So now, it comes down to a simple question: do you REALLY, TRULY, in your heart of hearts, ACTUALLY believe that this show will ever get better?
Even if you remove Felicity, there's so much awfulness attached to the show. All of the good writers are on Flash; all of the mediocre ones are on Supergirl and Legends; and all of the crappy ones stayed behind for Arrow. The main plots aren't going to improve; the action isn't going to improve (because their old stunt coordinator is gone); the flashbacks won't improve; the NEW romantic subplots won't improve. It might be less painful because there won't be a Felicity, but it'll still suck.
And that's assuming they'll ever kill her off for good, which they won't.

You know what is really sad? This last episode showed Luarel actually doing her job as the DA and having to prosecute someone they captured in costume. And now just thinking about it, so much of the show is eaten up with the Olicity shit we never actually get to see the stuff where they have to not just capture criminals but also have to get evidence so Laurel can put them away in her day job. It would actually be kind of fascinating and a good way to put in tension since they could have some cases where they don't have enough evidence. Its something that doesn't get brought up all that much in capeshit that its not enough that someone turned in a criminal while wearing a costume. You actually have to prove they broke a crime.

The writers realize what people of "day time" "nighttime" want. They love seeing couples on TV. They don't care about the "Hero/cape" aspect. Why?
