You got lots to choose from. You could always jump into MTMTE starting from #1 or RID from #1. These series are both constantly recommended. I DO NOT suggest starting from the middle of each series. I've tried, and I felt like I was missing a lot. In the guide, you could check out the short reads to see if this universe meshes well with you. It's not for everyone, I found. I also highly recommend Last Stand of the Wreckers as a stand alone. Also, I heard bad things about the Beast Wars based books in IDW. You might want to stay away from those.
If you're into retro-style comics, you could also check out the Marvel comics, (I could post the guide for that, too, if you want), and if you're a big fan of Jack Kirby or Tom Scioli, the Transformers vs G.I. Joe started. Issue #2 just came out. I think both are pretty fun.

Just read these:
-Death of Optimus Prime, a one issue comic that kicks off the next two I'm listing
-Robots in Disguise, by John Barber, which is about robots on cybertron and deals with politics and a mostly g1 cast
-More Than Meets the Eye by James Roberts, which deals with a rag tag group of Autobots on a whimsical journey to find some mystical dudes
Both of these take part in the same time period in-universe at different locations. They then meet up for a crossover called Dark Cybertron, then they split again after, and there's an addition of the Windblade miniseries comic, which is 4 issues long. RID and MTMTE are still ongoing.
There is a lot of comics that precede all of this, but most people seem to have little trouble.

There's a few artists changes, but the main artist is pretty much Alex Milne. It's mostly consistent. You might get some shifts to bad art, especially during the Dark Cybertron crossover, but it's bearable. If you really want to avoid Liefeld-tier art, stay away from the Liefeld variant cover in Transformers vs Gi Joe. Fortunately, he is only the cover artist.

My favorite explanation is that Transformers are mimics. They picked up our sexual dimorphism (as well as our concept of sexes) just like they picked up our slang and culture. As a bonus, most female Transformers also ended up being smaller and more lithe, so it saved on energy consumption, etc etc.
It gets muddy when you start looking at the various media that's tackled pre-Earth War Cybertronian life, but personally I think a lot of that stuff needs to be thrown out and started from scratch with an eye towards internal consistency. You could have things like Dinobots and female Transformers (and hell, even bipedal, humanoid robots) explained quite easily if you kept all that in mind when telling the tale of what it was like before they encountered Earth. It would be weird, but internally consistent if they weren't even humanoid before they landed on our planet. Then no one could complain about all the other weird stuff-- just point to the fact that they're mimics.

Breastfeeding gets tricky because there's no reason for Hasbro to go into any detail about Cybertronian reproduction. When it is addressed, it's usually something akin to a manufacturing process since they are, after all, robots and it avoids any angry letters from parents demanding to know why they're kid's robot toys are having sex in the cartoon/comic series.

Theoretically, Cybertron technically shouldn't have genders. The problem is, Transformers is ultimately a franchise that is created and aimed at a species that does have genders. And that's the real reason why this even became an issue and topic.

I like to think they have a softer silicone/synthflesh underneath the hard metal to cope with expansion and reduction in extreme temperatures. Their faces being made of more of this. So their erogenous zones are the ones where they need to be elastic and flexible. The neck, the underarms, the leg joints. The hands if they're not covered in armor. Also, other than installing a fleshlight, I don't see them being completely fuckable unless they're extremely adapted to alien culture or one of the few that are smaller than Tailgate and roughly human sized.

Honestly this is possible. In multiple continuities there has been empty space in the torso of certain bots. Usually said its a bit tight. I could see a decepticon like that DJD guy who's an electric chair doing something. Like...incorporating a sensory chamber in that point. Forced to watch what they're doing, hear it, possibly see and smell it. Could make it even better by making it a sensory transfer device.
